The guy who I mainly play against for practice has taken up Steve, he’s not bad and has taken to him very quickly. Then something weird happened when he started playing against me.

I could not find ONE reason to be afraid of Steve unless I did something incredibly stupid. With even a basic knowledge of Steve, I was able to just pick him apart, I knew he didn’t have a good reversal and when I started applying pressure I realised I could just bully him.

In SF4 my best match-ups were Gouken, Balrog, Dudley because I had played with them a lot and that inside knowledge let me approach the match with what felt like a tactical advantage. I feel like the only reason I’m getting anywhere with Steve at the moment is because people just have no idea what to do with him.

Has anyone had a chance to play against a Steve? What are your thoughts on the match? Anything you struggle against?
