Player stats (Stopping Collusion )

I just watched a vid about the Colluding that happened at FROSTY FAUSTINGS VI during the BlazBlu finals, and i had an idea that will not only enhance the FGC, but also help eliminate Colluding.

there should be a public stat database showing the stats (wins/losses/ratio, championships, placements/average placements, aliases, etc.) of a player who enters a Major, or any pre-approved/respected minor tournament/weekly.

as it is now, past tournaments are only remembered for specific moments/plays. but what if a players history could be quantified, recorded and made public? certain players who would have normally colluded would now be detoured by not wanting to weaken their record, and it would make people fight even harder to raise there stats.

I assume it would be quite easy to record the data, as most tournaments probably already record the wins/losses of rounds and matches. it would just be a matter of adding it to the database.

I think this would also enhance the FGC, giving spectators, and the players themselves, a chance to see what a player has accomplished in that year. like baseball or something. An the start of the year could be the day after EVO, making EVO the final battle of the year. Maybe even a special MVP award to the player with the most wins of a single game, or overall.

i think this would be a great addition the the growing FGC, and such things are needed to continue growth.

I am interested to see if anyone else agrees with me, or has any specific ideas for implementation.

Do you really think that they will care more about a random stat that doesn’t have any real value than money???

The people who suggest these ideas usually aren’t the people who want to create and maintain them

This qualifies as fan fiction at this point. If you need to use the FGD Lounge to discuss this topic, that’d be the place to do it.
