Riki feeling himself…
Yall can say what you want, but Seattle has the softest mentalities when it comes to this game. The scene is a sad wreck with a couple people still holding on, trying to maintain what isn’t there to begin with. I called out shred because I hate his self destructive comments about how free he is, as well as the constant defense mechanism triggered when anyone feeds into his open self criticisms. Actions speak louder than words, and if he has a problem with his game play than I challenge him to do something about it instead of getting stuck in the “I’m so free” mentality. I’ve been doing alot to get the scene moving, which is more than I can say for 90% of the people who post in these threads defending the very thing they are hindering by doing nothing.Telling it how it is does not make me an ass hole or a fool, just real. Deal with it
There’s a difference between constructive criticism, challenging people’s mentalities, and just plain insulting people. I know from experience how words can be misinterpreted/misconstrued online because attitudes typed out aren’t what they are in person, but you need to keep that in mind when you get on the keyboard. You’ve definitely seemed downright smug and insulting on a few occasions lately.
Super chill in person- you’re a cool dude, but you might want to look at how your online persona has come off recently.
most of my self destructive comments are just me being facetious towards Bokkin. Just jokes. I practice for hours every day and I have a notebook filled with things I’ve recorded after tournament matches over the past few months. Things that give me trouble and that I need to find a way around. There is whole page dedicated to your Adon and your Bison.
Please believe that I am stepping up.
“And they love to see beef, cause it throws us apart. More fire for the people”
You can say what you want, but you have one of the cockiest mentalities when it comes to this game. The scene is a sad wreck with great players becoming content with second place, even feeling themselves over it, and thinking they can suddenly call players out on a whim.
I’m calling you out because I hate these ego surfing comments about how beast you are, as well as the constant defense mechanism where you quote great players talking about you or about your collection of silver medals whenever anyone brings up your performance here at home.
Actions speak louder than words and if you really think you’re skilled, then I challenge you to do something with it instead of getting stuck in the “I didn’t win but I’m filthy” mentality. I haven’t been doing alot to get the scene moving, but at least I’m not claiming that because I do it justifies some sort of bullshit complex I have going on right now.
Telling it how it is does not make one an ass hole or a fool. However, weighing out whether or not it’s necessary and then deciding whether or not you’re going to, does. Especially when you’re only looking outside of your box and haven’t taken a good look inside in a while. Step up your game, and I’m not talking street fighter.
I only say all this because I <3. :china: We all know you’re a good guy in person, so proof-read your posts or something because it’s getting silly. Cue Josh and KK.
Shred. I think you are taking the flow chart abel thing wrong. Safe runaway flowchart abel actually isn’t a terrible thing it’s defnintly means you have a grasp on the game you are just supremely predictable. Your mix-up is the same and you don’t try to condition you oppenet or push them into your way of thinking.
Riki. You play Flowchart Riki Oh. This also predictable. Focus dash throw/sHK is not a mix-up against good players.
I realized alot about the huge gaps in my game this weekend. Sadly enough even Duncan made some observations that I hadn’t really thought of. Everyone needs to lvl up.
Future. We need to MM. I learned so much against rog this weekend.
Shred, I think the biggest issue is that because people trash talk, you feel you have something to prove. Nope, you only have yourself to prove anything to. You need more confidence, and yeah my bad for trying to help with the opposite. I just hate seeing people call themselves free. It’s totally self destructive and will only lead to a furtherance of self destructive attitudes =/
Dug, Your post oozes nice guy peace keeper with a thick layer of condescending self righteous douche.
Re-watching matches, I feel pretty smug because yes sometimes I’m filthy. Reviewing how I act versus who I am, I feel pretty content. Reflecting on where my life is and where I want it to be, I’m on the right track. I’m happier and more content right now than I have been in a while, and if that comes off smug, deal with it. I trash talk but so does my mom. The feelings and emotions of those on these boards are not my concern. If I’m not attacking anyone directly or causing a ruckus, than I can feel as smug/cocky/confident as I see fit. At the moment, I’m feeling myself, and if that is a problem then remove your eyes from my post. Seattle, stop being so soft body. Home of the hard body my ass.
^ i quit till arcade version. Upon my arrival back to the game, I’ll be taking first place at everything local again.:china:
I believe it’s only self-destructive if I’m serious about it, which I addressed. I am confident. I just placed alongside Cole and BBH at Slugfest and it was like my 2nd real tournament. I’m confident I can do better too. But to each his own man. I really don’t want any beef.
In all fairness though, if you don’t like my posts, you can remove your eyes from them as well.
I just think it’s funny that the actual best players in this scene are the only ones who don’t talk shit about other people’s games on this forum.
No reason we can’t all be friends, is there? Really, I want to be better at the game. I want to play this game more. But if getting better means being a dick and alienating people with my attitude, I’m out. Let’s cut the beef and enjoy the game, kthxbai.
“I just hate seeing people call themselves free. It’s totally self destructive and will only lead to a furtherance of self destructive attitudes =/”
**Truth!
**
Awesome, exactly what I was going for. I do hope you realize that I simply copied your post’s format and tone and just redirected the ideas to you instead of Shred. Glad you understood it, brother.

Edit:
“I activate my trap card.” </Duncan>
The NW has this big fish in a small pond syndrome, every time somebody is good at something out here its easy to get blown out of proportion, all Im gonna say is yes Eman, you do have a sense of arrogance in how you view yourself, but hey, thats just part of the personality, if u wanna pat yourself on the back for taking a shit every morning thats your business, but my point is, if people arnt money matching, entering tournaments, or showing up at get togethers, then you have no business to be on here talking at all.
I can say Dugg, Eman, Shred, Bokkin, i seen all u guys in PO the other day, so that says something about how you guys view this, things like, Ego, self hate, and other physiological aspects come in to play,im not gonna sit here and analyse things furtherm but i will say we need to do less bragging, less telling each other why you suck speeches, and focus more on getting players to take the scene a little bit more seriously, if ya’ll want to express your opinions on somebody go blog about it
My new focus: operation build up the NW fight scene
and your either on 2 sides, Build, or Destroy
Terrance you last post contained 21 commas and 1 period. Lets work on that.
^^ when u come back nate we most definitely can bro :china:
Ic, you need help on your tone. You missed my debonair charisma but nailed my inane ability to condescend. Remember you’re just the baby school. :wgrin:
And wooaah everyone. Beefin?! Me?! Never! Ok sometimes :wonder:. I do need to re-read if I seem to be beefing now though. I’m just doing alot more telling than asking now a days. I’m tired of waiting for everyone to get into gear with this whole fighting game thing. Seeing other scenes makes me realize Seattle isn’t so much a scene as it is just a group of gamers who trash talk online and show up to tournaments some times. A half way description of scene with organization and motivation missing from the equation. No more waiting, just doing. In fact, no more talking. Mah bad.
100% the truth:rock:
Less trash talk, more playing
Agreed.
The freeture is just scared of getting bodied by my Rose more. LOLOL. :lovin: Yeah you better quit 'til arcade so my cheesy ultra gets nerfed. I see what you did there.
Nah, I kid. I can’t even shit talk. Except maybe Carlos “I won the matches I wanted to win” Allison.
