Honestly, as the new self-appointed figurehead of the NW, I would kindly request for everyone’s sake y’all calm it down on dat south end. Let them run their mouths. There’s a lot of people up here who feel the need to form cliques and attack people and talk shit and it just escalates and there’s no reason to fuel the fire. You guys are eager to improve, I guess we’re eager to talk unnecessary amounts of shit (this is to keep you ‘hungry’, I assume) and then beat you in street fighter. This makes us feel good about ourselves. Don’t mind kk/originalkdawg as this is what he does, with the condescending trash talk. It’s kinda rude, but hey, what’re ya gonna do. EDIT: Oh and josh likes to hop on the condescension train as well. Don’t mind him. You are obviously just supposed to know random bullshit nobody cares about anymore even though it was like a year before you even joined SRK. Jacob is humorous and excused from any critique.
I may see you guys tuesday and even know they’re all beefin I’m down for friendly matches where I can help you guys improve. Shit talk is overrated. I’ll beat your ass, sure, but then I’ll tell you what you could’ve done better. IMO shit talk has it’s purpose but for the sake of improvement it really just gets in the way and pulls you out of the game. Which is something you should learn to ignore, if you’re trying to be evo-bound. As the Nicest Negro in the NW, I have suffered the opposite end of the spectrum and both years I went to evo I lost due to extreme shit talk taken too far, and allowing it to take me out of the game. Here I thought the passionate haterade-fueled northwest’s shit talk had prepared me, but little did I realize people would scream in my face in the middle of a match.
Anyway. I don’t know that I’ll have the funds to head down but I would like to represent Seattle as someone who is not acting a fool for no reason.
In our ridiculous behavior’s defense (why do I bother), y’all are kinda comin’ across like a bunch of yapping chihuahuas. Yes, we have more access to regular practice sessions and tournaments. It happens. Every scene has areas that can more readily practice or not. It sucks if you’re stuck somewhere you don’t want to be, but it happens. I admire that you guys are trying to band together and improve your scene. Just ignore our silly shit talk and everyone will be a lot happier.

@Messatsu Orochi and on some real shit why the hell would i beef 4real over SF? thats why we play this game, the proof is in the pudding, shit, u guys are the one comin off all high and mighty, i just dont take shit personal, especially in a Street Fighter thread

@Mechanica 2 be honest the shit talking is kinda fun, as long as people keep it fair and nobody gets 2 personal, it is good for the community because it fuels the ambition of the players, and 2 be honest everybody ive ever played wit is always down 2 help a scrub out, even bokkin, he’ll sit there, tell u everything ur doing wrong, and why, and how 2 fix it, this community is awesome for the most part, just out here on the south end we have a long way 2 go just 2 hold a candle 2 yall.
and wats really killing me right now is how some of u other black players thro out “nigga” alot, 2 be honest i say that just as much as anyone i know but i try 2 keep that 2 a minimum wen im in these type of environments, i think this is why i cant stand a good portion of other black gamers because its like some of yall couldnt fit in 2 traditional black clicks so u use this as an outlet 2 act overly stereo typical… just my opinion tho, ill save that for another conversation

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m really the only person up here who doesn’t. At least people respect it and don’t shit talk me. Although maybe they should start so I can Man Up® for Evo next year. Maybe I need people screaming in my face during every tournament match. Maybe that’s what the universe is trying to tell me from my sickening losses at evo.
Honestly we all throw it out there a lot, (in fact the black guys probably say it the least!) but for some it softens the strength/controversy levels of the word. My logic is as long as people are still saying gay and ***, I’ma say nigga. 
The people who are gonna act overly stereotypical are gonna act overly stereotypical. Has nothing to do with whether they like video games or not.
EDIT: You know, one thing I like about bokkin’s shit talk, is that it’s mostly centered around how good of a player he thinks he is. He tosses free around but for the most part it’s almost like… positive shit talk. He is godly in his own eyes and that’s what he focuses on. Rather than shitting on everyone else, per se, he’s just talking himself up. It gets grimy IMO when it’s nothing but negative bullshit people have to say about other people.

If only I had beaten vivek at the team tournament, please believe the cookies would have been eaten. I would’ve let the spirits guide him. It also would’ve been cool if people could’ve put their egos aside for 45 seconds while our match finished, but I just gotta drag my curse to gameclucks.

and dont say tacoma is behind. a lot of seattles best came from tacoma. so there is a legacy left there waiting to be picked up.
