Places to eat while at EVO?

I walked from the hotel Evo was at last year to the nearby Sonics, it wasn’t that far of a walk only 5-10 minutes. I walked there with an Eight-year-old, if he can handle it- you can too!

I lived off that sonic last year lol

Damn man you guys going to vegas for a few days,be prepared with paper for escorts and fine dinning, talkng about mcdeez and n and out,You in vegas…scrimps nugga scrimps and lobster…

You mofoz had all year to prep this trip

FATBURGER** **

Every evo we make it a point to eat here. Its amazing

whenever im in vegas finding food is never an issue. Even when in the casinos you can normally just do a 360 and find at least 1 place to grab something. Of course restaurants inside the casinos are more expensive than the ones outside but thats the price you pay for convenience of not having to leave.

We walk to the Peppermill every year, but that’s more drinking than eating, and it’s like a mile and a half walk.

There’s no shortage of places to eat on the Vegas strip. Explore a little bit and you’ll find a chain you like, or some other place that will catch your eye.

Pricey though, if you got it there’s nothing to worry about but a single combo is $10.

Unless you’re trying to go on the uber-cheap, I highly recommend KGB in Harrahs. You’re looking at around ~$15 for a meal. Those are the best burgers available in walking distance, and the vodka bar ain’t half bad either (more than $15, though).

If you don’t mind spending ~$20 on a good meal, Mesa Grill in Caesars can be very good. Just stick to lunch and avoid the pricey appetizers.

Dang… It seems my room is not in the augustus tower at Caesars. I’m staying at the Palace Tower.

How far is it from the evo main hall? :frowning:

Not far. Unless you need to run up to your room every hour it’s no big deal.

Are the buffets at the Bellagio or the Paris good?

I’ve been to that Lux Cafe in the venetian or whatever hotel it is connected to before, it is pretty good, with big portions I would say.

If you all head onto Spring Mountain toward China Town there is a lot of good places to eat, the most notable in FUKU Burger. A food truck with japanese fusion burger which are fucking amazing, it’s parked across the street from Anime Ramen.

Monta Ramen on Spring Mountain. Then there is a shit load of Pho also by Anime Ramen has Karaoke next door. Also dont buy drinks, just go to a craps table and order a drink and just get a couple of chips. Drunk on a budget.

I feel I should give a food report, haha.

On Thursday night, I drove out to Monta Ramen. Line was too long, so I went to Anime Ramen. It was pretty good, broth was kinda salty though. The pork was excellent. Was a good amount of people in there, but no line. I stopped by Lee’s sandwich on the way back to the hotel to have a sandwich at the ready for midnight snacking, haha. There is a TON of food places on Spring Mountain.

Friday morning, I went to the Hash House a Go Go at the IP. Got that big ass fried pork tenderloin sandwich. Could only eat half of it. Ate the other half when I got back to my room at night. It was pretty good. I wish they gave more pickles/onions with it. Ate fruit and granola bars the rest of the time with a lot of water.

Saturday went to the Carnegie Deli at the Mirage after my am Pool for lunch. Had a tongue sandwich with fries. Pretty damn delicious. Pretty pricy as well. Will go back there though. The meat was so good.

On Monday morning, ate Hash House again for breakfast. Had the Corned beef hash. It was good, but kinda fraudulent, lol. It was just house potatoes, with pulled corned beef on top with melted swiss. It was good, but that’s not corned beef hash! Corned beef hash is cubed corned beefed, mixed with the potatoes, onions, green peepers, cooked together and crispy at the bottom with an egg over easy on top!!!

Anyways, didn’t get to any buffets like I wanted. Plus, there is a Cane’s chicken fingers out in town on Charleston/Decatur. I wanted to drive out to it, because people always talk about it when Season’s Beating’s happens. Next time.

Anime Ramen was pretty bad. Broth was ok, but the noodles were all wrong.

Saigon Noodle or whatever was much better and cheaper.

Chipotle next to Harrah’s was also a good spot.

I almost forgot that there is a Cane’s that is literally down the street from Caesars on Flamingo and Maryland parkway. Since I’m local I used this evo as a chance to eat interesting things. Went to Beijing Noodle House, Lee’s Sandwiches and Serendipity 3. Also the place down the escalator from the main ballroom had godlike crepes. Glad to see so many people tried Hash House though…

Anime Ramen is bad? I don’t ever eat Japanese Ramen, just Pho a lot, I have not point of reference, haha. I just remember it being really salty.

Also about Hash House, it was kinda expensive, but they give you a lot of food.

If EVO is at the Rio next year, I plan to partake in their seafood buffet.

canes sucks

Given that this was my first EVO as well as my first stay in Caesar’s Palace, I wanted to check out as many of their spots as I could for as full of an experience as I could get. If it’s at Caesar’s again, I would definitely hit these places up again:

Munchbar: It’s not the cheapest place to eat in Vegas, but absolutely one of the more affordable places in Caesar’s, and it’s definitely worth the price. I got a burger here the first night, and it was juicy, flavorful, and HUGE with plenty of shoestring fries. Plus, the server girls there are cute, nice, and can mix one heck of a cocktail. If I get a room at Caesar’s next year, I’ll definitely be hitting this place up again.

Beijing Noodle No. 9: This place was right next to the tower where I was staying, so I decided to check it out practically on a whim…and I was totally blown away. The coconut curry chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had, and, again, was reasonably priced compared to the rest of the hotel. If you’re a fan of more upscale chinese but want more value for your dollar, this is the place to go. Also, fishtanks. Fishtanks everywhere.
