heading there now, fell asleep :). Hope people are still there!
ggs to Axel, DB, and the others I played. Sorry I missed you zass.
I’ll buy more parking next time so I can stay later!
Who is going Wednesday? I have a longtime friend of mine wanting to check this place out on Wednesday but I want him to meet most of you guys (those I personally know) so he integrate himself into the Seattle scene.
Andrew and I felt that the 1P side stick of the ST cab was beginning to show signs of age. The spring felt loose, though the microswitch was still responsive. I left before 6PM on Saturday, so perhaps people who stuck around later can better testify if the stick was still in good shape.
HELLA loose. I’ll say it was weird playing on it, but it works just fine. Putting in a new spring still might be a good idea.
On a related note that should probably be in another thread: I was thinking about ordering some jlf springs in bulk from akihabara a while back. If people want stick parts, I could put together a bulk order, since I’m already going to be getting parts for two people soon. Should probably ask people about it soon.
Good job posting this, I’d forgotten about it to be honest. This will be a test for the PinkGorilla about whether they can maintain the equipment in top condition (see the shit storm in the HDR forum about arcade cabinet maintenance…!) I’ve no reason to think that they can’t, since everything else is in such apparently good shape.
I’m guessing it’s the joystick coming physically loose from the control panel, which happens pretty often and can feel like a fucked-up stick when it does. I’ll be in there tomorrow night so I’ll get to dig into it then.
BTW, ST was top earner this week, thanks guys! And yes, I want my cabs to work as well as possible. My entire arcade collecting hobby and, in turn, this arcade are a reaction to how much it sucks when lazy operators don’t keep their games running well. So I’d pretty much rather just quit than become one of them!
edit: “tomorrow” meaning today – haven’t gone to bed yet!
You’re the man bobby!
Just a few small things I’ve noticed. First off the screen on ST seems to be cut off a little bit on the right hand side, not sure if that’s just how ST is or if there’s a simple monitor calibration tool that will fix that. Also it seems that the monitor for A3 is kind of dark, not that it affects gameplay, but it could look better. I’m not sure if that’s how that specific monitor is or if there is some brightness option that can be turned up. Either way, both these problems are very small and completely cosmetic, and in the end it doesn’t affect gameplay but it would make things absolutely perfect.
Good catch, the ST monitor does need to be calibrated so that it’s not clipped on the sides also.
So, who’s going this week? I plan on attending. Perhaps open up the house for games after hours–much like last week. But then, last week got kinda crazy. Pablo’s supposedly busy Saturday, so that’s one less MvC2 setup.
I’ll be there for sure. I’m going to buy more parking this time and plan to be there from 3pm - 6:30pm.
Mor, Dug and I might stop by on our way to the dr. dog concert tomorrow around mid day. ST! Also, Sagat’s ST tiger knee input is quarter circle back up forward and his super is quarter circle forward twice punches correct? I hate second guessing myself
QCB, u/f? I know ST has gross motions but why would that ever be the move? Hahah. It’s qcf, u/f + k. And yes, super is the same as Ryu’s. Jealous about dr dog! Mark said he’d go if he were gonna be in town.
His crossup is mk.
If you wanna be gross and play O. Sagat pick him then press up down down up jab.
It makes so much sense now lol Thank you sir. And yes, Dr. Dog is going to be SO hype.
I bet.
ST Sagat is awesome. Stand fierce is a pretty good poke btw unlike in any other game really.
Sagat’s CvS2 :d::hp: > ST :hp:, much like MvC2 > women > ST > CvS2.
thats the math
I will be there and bring ST, MSH, and CotA boards :china:
^I take it that’s tomorrow and not tonight?
