So, who’s gonna be there tomorrow night? For marvel, specifically. I feel like I at least get 3-4 minutes there for my 50 cents while I lose 25 in 30 seconds in ST because I forgot about some shenanigan I haven’t seen in years or mistimed my counter throw input by a frame. Marvel.
On a related note, that game really is crack. I can’t wait to play it even when I walk up to the cab, and can’t wait to play again even when I get mad at the damned game. Maybe it’s because I still don’t understand what goes on from time to time.
ST is truly the most brutal game on earth. I think most people have a love/hate relationship with it.
Yeah it’s pretty awesome that fireballs are insanely overpowered, and yet, you can lose entire matches just for throwing one bad one. SUPER TURBOOOOOOOOO
Can i get some fun combos for Guile, Honda, and Fei?

Guile only needs one combo (as demonstrated by Axel) but I don’t know exactly what it is, something like crossup lk, something, flash kick. Just watch any match I have with him as he does it to me twice every round.
Not really amazing combos or anything, but effective.
Guile:
-You already know guile Fierce Fierce Boom Fierce if you play SF.
-crossup j.short, cr.shortx3, rh.flash kick (renda cancel a fourth short into the flash kick by piano-ing short to roundhouse while doing the flash kick)
Honda:
-crossup mk, close st. strong, standing roundhouse
Fei:
-Meaty cr. fierce, cr. fierce (yeah stun!)
-crossup mk, close st.fierce xx fierce rekka x3 (70% damage whut???)
The flash kick combo is easier off two shorts to start IMO… that’s something you’ll have to practice though, because it’s like you plink from low short to up+rh because you’re literally canceling a c.lk’s startup frames into a flash kick. Kinda wonky.
Does honda still have jab-strong-fierce in ST? All standing.
Fei:
c.lk, stand fierce rekkas
meaty (standing) fierce, step forward stand fierce, rekkas
meaty fierce, sweep
meaty fierce, low forward
(meaty fierce is fucking amazing if you haven’t guessed, and they’re all close standing fierce btw)
on wide hitbox’d characters like gief/fei and maybe hawk/honda: crossup mk, s.mp, s.hp, rekkas
chicken wing, c.lp, rekkas
thats hdr only with the rh flash kick, you can only get two shorts to combo in the real game. same concept, use forward instead of rh
crossup short > crouch strong > short flash kick is the one you should go for until you practice chain cancels, on some of the big guys (hawk gief fei for sure) you can link two strongs into a flash, a personal favorite
when you jump a fireball just do jump rh > cr strong > lk flash

Speaking of Marvel, did you guys play it much last week? Cause it had, I believe, its worst week ever! I’m just curious about whether I should be suspecting theft or anything, because it seems like it should be doing great given the popularity amongst you guys, not to mention the Ave bums who are crazy for it.

Sadly, most of the people who participate in these sessions cannot handle the raw intensity of Marvel. MvC2 used to have a robust scene in Seattle. Now, not so much.

I don’t think taking your cousin to an arcade with a bunch of nerds and their hard on for an old ass game is the way to go. At least that is how he will see it.
Sadly, I have not been to any strip clubs in seattle for a long ass time. Out of the loop. My cousin did have the hook up at Rick’s but we all know how that one turned out.
