Dark Cloud 2 is really underrated, the setting isn’t the best, the characters are somewhat boring but the weapon customization aspect is pretty awesome, and inventing pretty much every item you ever use is cool. The whole Star Ocean series is pretty damn good, but Till the End of Time is hit or miss with some people, especially after a certain point in the story… Something of an attempted mindfuck that fails horribly depending on your perception. I liked the game, a lot of people I know didn’t and only because of said mindfuck.

Dark Cloud (the original) is terrible. If your weapon’s durability goes to 0, the weapon breaks and it’s gone forever. When this happens to your ultimate weapon, it blows.
Agreed, Toan sucks. Max from DC2 isn’t that much better, but it’s still a far better game despite it being a lot of the same.
