Pigs, TVs, And Freeze Pipes, Who Needs Fireballs? - Injustice Interactive Object Thread

there aren’t any stance specific combos that I know of…Either way, that’s discussion for another thread.

that video literally proved that everybody who complains about IOs is a scrubby ass noob. I seldom get hit by them anymore unless I have a spaz moment and just block it like a noob, or I am halfway through a move, or if I have already been knocked down, stunned, frozen, etc.

care to explain?

I’m guessing he means the corner hazards in stages like Ferris Air that can be used an infinite amount of times. The turbine at left side of stage can be bitch to avoid. I fought a few players that tried to camp the spot.

I’ve been running into stage specialists by the day. It’s amazing to see a Catwoman player so plays exclusively in Hall of Justice and style all day with drone resets.

What Nightwing-chan avatar dude said. Also, transitions on certain sides can also affect the matchup. Player on the side with the transition sure as hell won’t want to be cornered (except maybe Catwoman, f112,fb2 BnB actually makes it so that you don’t want to have her in the corner).

The only issue is that like I said you can combo into them, also some IOS are slow like the little car on the outside of hall of justice, that your opponent can set up into having to get hit by them. They can cover your other options. Like that video was cool, but unfortunately there are TONS of times where you can’t do that even if you buffer the back dash on wake up because they can combo while you are still grounded.

how is that any different than being cornered in Tekken/Dead or Alive and dealing with the walls? Or Soul Calibur and dealing with Ring Outs?

You can still back dash the turbine (which doesn’t hit while you’re grounded), then punish and take over that spot. To be honest, I have a bigger problem with the overhead missile in that stage, with the toolbox just to the left. If player one is successful with the missile at the start of the match, he then gets a free toss of the toolbox, and you can kiss like half of your health goodbye.

It’s 2d, the threat is more immediate. There’s no sidestep to help move out of range. For example, it takes a fair bit of positioning to get to some of the more unique hazards in DOA5. You aren’t going to see people always go for the train in the rooftop stage or the tree in the raft. The ones that don’t require positioning usually surround the entire stage (i.e. electrified fences).

i just wish they didn’t do so much damage or that you could recover the damage you did a MB’d f/b3

If armor from MB B3/F3 did recoverable health, the moves would be extremely busted.

FA in SFIV? and a raw one doesn’t even cost a meter

Maybe if MB B3/F3 took 2/3 damage or even 1/2? The difference wouldn’t be huge when used for pressure or good reads, but would make a difference when punishing interactables.

Level 1 FA’s also didn’t lead to consistent 30%+ of damage and very few FA’s were plus on block (or even hit) or had the range that a lot of F3/B3’s have in this game.

The fact that you’d even use such a comparison is…disappointing to say the least.

I don’t mind interactables, but there is no reason they should respawn. The stage does the fighting for the fuckin opponent. It gets ridiculous sometimes.
