I heard the same thing about Marvel. Makes sense though since the quantum manager at SM sta mesa (The one that started most of the quantum tournaments) Got transferred to SM north for some time now, he fixed most of the MvC2 machines there as well.
I was there earlier and had a conversation with said manager. Also played a little bit of 3s where I faced that afro-urien guy from alimall before. Heh… I need to play more 3s =p
3S Tournament date is set on Sept 29 - Saturday at SM North Edsa. It’s gonna be a pair match… so register with a partner with you.

i know this post comes a year late but…
thanks to all the players i played and met last year at SM. i had a huge writeup on the whole experience (mostly about how i got the shit kicked out of me) but i ended up losing it and forgetting about it heh. filipino players definitely have more than enough potential to compete on a worldwide level, just sucks that’s its so difficult for filipinos to come to the states.

i just pulled off another 40+ wins the other day at the arcade, with MSP. it was 46 to be exact, i’m not bragging or anything like that, i just wanna share that after that marathon, i just realized that playing MSP is so f**kng tiring. i had to get my backed massage after that. LoL

Where is a good place to get filipino match vids? I’m just curious how you guys play since I apparently went to all the wrong arcades and only saw SvC scrubbery last year.

ST is my main game, does anyone in Manila even play? Where at?
I play ST, SFA3, KOF 98, KOF 2002, Soul Cal 2 and leaning KOF MI2 Regulation A… are these games played at all? I swear all I saw were empty 3S cabs, random SvC players and empty KOF 2003 (bleh).
It’d be fucking cool to meet SRKers next time.

SM North Edsa (SMNE), which is in Quezon City has cabs for ST, SFA3, KOF 2002 and KOFXI. IIRC the cab for Soul Cal 2 is still there, I’ll check it out next time I drop by. I used to play SC2 seriously, but I haven’t touched the game in five years.
SMNE has a good KOF XI (occasionally KOF2002) scene, as well as 3S. Some of the best players in the Philippines hang out there, so I think it’s worth checking out. For pure 3S comp though, I’d recommend Farmer’s Plaza and Ali Mall (both of which are in Quezon City, the Cubao area in particular) where sharky and co. hang out. Seeing as sharky is willing to go to SMNE though, you might be able to hook up there.
