I personally know 3 people (me included) playing SSF4 here in Baguio. Its real small. 
Going to Manila is still the best way to fight more diverse players.
Btw, what ISP are you on? Here in the Philippines, playing online is laggy unless your opponent is on the same ISP as you.
well i have skycable. i have some matches on youtube under the name kaiten619 or giorgio(giorgio vs marco Giorgio vs nemonic) or aznphoenixpnoy17. these were like when i was still learning how to control my characters under tourney pressure.

Do they still play Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting (Arcade Cabinet) in the Phillippines? I know they still do today in Korea and China.

Unfortunately, no. The arcades with the old stuff are either dead or very poorly maintained. Your best bets for comp here are Tekken games, MvC2 and SF4. MvC3 if you have a PS3 + online here of course.

Hey guys this is Airthrow again. Just wondering if Marvel 3 is at all popular there?
When I was last in Manila in Nov, I had only been playing Marvel 2 for about 2 months so I got smoked pretty hard, but I’ve been playing MvC3 hardcore and I can hold my own against anybody. I am good at SFIV but don’t like it.
It sucks that none of the games I like most are popular there, I am hoping to have some common ground with my pinoy pals when I return later in the year. 
Yeah, a good portion of the players are into Marvel 3. It helps that it’s popular not only with some of the SFIV players, but with many of the Blazblue players as well. The Marvel 2 players are getting there too.

There used to be 3s but I think it’s dead in the arcades too. A lot of the SFIV players are ex-3s players though. I suppose you could get some of them to play 3s on the PS2 or on emulator.
For SF2, your best bet would be HDR I guess, I think some people are rocking it on their PS3’s.

Glad to have a few casuals with MvC2 and T6 there sa Megamall last week. I was the MSP guy who kept on complaining about the level1 damage settings.

Marvel 3 is still rare (sans random cabinets. For best comp, go to the Northmall arcade (LRT1 -> Monumento station).
Current Marvel 2 Hotspots are: SM North Edsa/west (Quantum), SM makati (Worlds of Fun, Food court area), SM manila (Quantum). Robinson’s Galleria (Timezone, 5 pesos per game but you have to inform people that you’re going there just to be sure)
Kaya di na ko masyadong naglalarong MvC2, di maganda yung characters ko sa L1 (Megaman, Blackheart, etc.)
Supot yung Inferno xx Heart of Darkness sa ganong setting. :sad:
Kung meron kayong alam na normal damage na lugar, or may PS3/Xbox version ng MvC2, don na lang tayo laro.
