Where will you be staying? Arcade-wise, SM Megamall (Mandaluyong/Ortigas area) has the most active arcade scene. There’s also a cab in Makati (Glorietta 4 mall).

I played at Quantum amusement yesterday and today! Very friendly players, I was playing honda, there was a pretty good Sagat player! GG philippines, going back to cali!
What Quantum did you go to? SM North EDSA? 
yea thats the one. the first day i got a 20 streak, but the 2nd day I went there and had a nice session with a sagat player.
played with a nice chunli player at Quantum Sm North Edsa before Christmas. I heard he was from the U.S. as well…

Anyway, I’m surprised marvel in megamall is still alive, The marvel in Robinson’s galleria (pretty near mega) at timezone costs 5pesos, decent controls (and if its broken, the tech guy is great). You just have to inform the players you’re going so we’d go too.
Anyway, I’m mostly an SM-Manila guy now, not so much SM north. We gots Marvel and Vanilla SF4 (console version) there.
But if you’re really looking for marvel competition, marvel vs capcom 2 philippines facebook group is alive. (there are two, one is poorly maintained though so pick the one with a black logo that has the philippine seal on it (along with the MvC2 graphic) and just post there for some games 
Nope, no word on AE yet. Still mostly vanilla SF4 at the arcades and a few SSF4 custom cabs in northern Metro Manila. With any luck, Timezone will upgrade their cabs. Fingers crossed though.
Yeah, there’s at least three arcades (Worlds of Fun, Quantum Club Synergy, and Timezone) at Megamall carrying MvC2. Only Worklds of Fun has the normal damage settings though, the other cabs are on low damage. :sad: It’s probably still the most popular arcade game after Tekkens.
One month to go til the SSF4 teams/MvC3 launch event! :woot:
Pretty Sure Marvel follows tekken for most popular arcade game. (At least, Fighting game). You can’t give another name that would follow =\
Bah, couldn’t go to the launch event due to Masters’ class, but since a friend is getting it anyway, we can get weekly practice =) I hope Timezone gets the arcade version and not quantum (Fuck quantum and minimum damage :)) )

MvC3 now playing at Playmore Trading. Ride the LRT1 to Monumento Station, and go to the nearby North Mall. Shop’s at the 3rd floor.

i’m visiting cebu island for vacation next week and i’m wondering if there’s any arcades near waterfront hotel or somewhere that i can tell the taxi cab to go to
i play pretty much every capcom fighting game that isn’t sf2 competitively so you can money match me in anything
mvc2
sf4 including the new ones
and whatever else u can think of
but i haven’t played the other games for like 3 years so preferably sf4 or marvel haha
buuuut my buddy who lives in manila said you guys LOOOOVE mvc2!!! if so, i would love to play some good players. i’m pretty old school tho, most of my adventures were from before 2007 so don’t expect any fancy new tactics or resets from me but unless you’re placing top 8 at evo, i should be hard to beat!!!
i’m leaving korea, where i’m currently teaching english (i’m not korean tho, i’m chinese/canadian) and arriving in cebu waterfront hotel saturday like at midnight. then, i’ve got like 3 days of wandering around with my gf who will be with me and then i’ll stay the last night, wednesday night at the waterfront hotel too
i can’t stay at the arcade for TOOOO long, so if anyone is interested in playing one of western canada’s best players in mvc2 and sf4 or a middle tiered korean sf4 player haha give me a holler! i’m not really that good in korea tho, i haven’t played sf4 since july and i haven’t been on srk for like a year or something but since mvc3 is coming out, i’m coming out of hibernation!

hmmm thanks for the info guys! i was hoping for like… just a generic arcade or something… my friend who lives in manila made it sound like there’s more than one arcade around… so i’ll try looking around cebu. anyway, it’s not a gaming trip tho, it’s more of a couples vacation type of thing with my gf and in fear or fem-rage, i prolly won’t get to play a lot… she probably would like me playing poker more than games or something
anyway, leaving tomorrow and it’s prolly too late the spam the pm’s lol. i’ll be back in september to visit my friend in manila and hopefully i can meet the top players of the philippines then haha

Hey there! I’ll try to contact my Cebu friend about your stay there. He doesn’t play marvel though. The last time I visit Cebu there was no mvc2 competition at sight…sad. But if you have time to visit other places try Iloilo and Bacolod. We have some decent players that could put up a fight. I’m from Iloilo btw, I could tour you around the place if you’re interested. Iloilo is just a 25-minute plane ride from Cebu. I could find you a cheap hotel that is close to the arcade place! Looking forward playing with you buddy! Take care!:china:
