As much as I love both Skullo and Garuda, they’re never coming back. Arika owns their rights, and every other original character in the EX series, and is holding on to them for dear life. No idea why, but I digress. Also on the whole recycling characters issue, weren’t both Poison and Hugo actually set to head into SFIV first but were later added to SFxT due to fan request/popularity? Idk man, I’m perfectly okay with playing these characters in the SFIV engine, they may be even more fun than in SFxT. Eh, just my opinion though.

I don’t agree with people’s perception that “effort” on Capcom part should mean creating new 3D models and animations. Interesting playstyle, moves and overall balance are far more important.

Yeah, the new additions are underwhelming at best, but a “petition” like this won’t do anything. They are probably too far into the conversion to think adding anyone else is cost-effective at all.
Sure, except that neither Hugo nor Elena have interesting playstyles or character designs. Hugo will also more than likely get utterly owned by zoners. Poison and Rolento have potential to be at least B tier. Hugo and Elena seem like they are just for 3S fan pandering than anything remotely serious anyway. There were much more interesting characters that could have been added. Alex seems to easily be one of the most requested 3S characters of all time (and one of the most interesting), yet he probably won’t ever be added. Have to erase that Abel DLC, oh no!
Just hope that the “new” character is worth at least half of the cost of admission.
Wow. What an ingrate. We were all assuming going into EVO weekend that we were just going to get rebalance. Capcom then announces 5 new characters (1 new), new stages and modes, and you complain?

You know, you might actually have a point if this was just a free update, but it’s not. Pretty much none of the four announced actually interest me other than Rolento and the mysterious character. If not for those two, it would feel like a complete waste of money, yet I’d still have to end up paying for the update since most would be switching to it as well.
Well, that’s totally fine. You can like or dislike the characters. You’re entitled to that. I respect that. What irks me is the sense of entitlement some folks have. I mean, “I don’t like the characters so let’s change them” poll?! The game is a year old, and when the update comes, it will be a year and a half…and for $15, new modes, characters and balance tweaks will breathe new life into it. I mean, even if you don’t like the new characters, the old ones will be tweaked to the point where new tech, combos and matchups may have to be discovered. For $15? C’mon now, it’s not that bad. It’s better than letting the game die and waiting another 3-4 years for street fighter 5.
Think of it as $15 for at least another year’s worth of entertainment and exploration of a system.
People have wanted Rolento, Elena, Hugo, and Poison in SSFIV since forever.
The real petition would be to change those fucking stages. They make no sense being in the game. Except for Mad Gear Hideout. That stage would fit so perfectly - and look so much better - it hurts.
