Actually I’m leaving it because I hate it when things on forums get too heavy. I find the lack of immediacy leads to things like your very convincing internet tough guy act, if you got on GD’s discord or something and went without sharing your erotic fantasies I’d be willing to go further because not only do I love talks about rules and the playing to win ethos I’m not the typical smash player. I think you guys have some points along the lines of “fuck you, it’s in the game” but you’re just not totally understanding me or I’m not conveying my point properly. That being said, once the replies get that huge and that hateful I’m out.
I’ve played Smash, but never competitively. The last game I played competitively was MK3 on Genesis when I sought to crush my little sister’s 9-year old spirit. She knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.
These days, I just stick to competitive paragraph writing.
This is all I hear from a response like this. Lack of immediacy? Immediacy of what? This statement makes absolutely no sense without the object it’s referring to. My “tough guy” posting is the norm, so nothing caused it. It’s how I post. If you don’t like it that’s your problem, not mine. I’m not changing my posting style to satisfy your requirements to get a proper response out of you. And if you don’t think you got your point across well enough, then by all means try again; just don’t expect the way I respond to change. I don’t have this Discord so I’m not about to get it just for something I can just as easily keep right here. Because I guarantee you my responses would still be the same no matter the medium. Maybe a little less assholish (or more, whatever I feel like), but the counterpoints and examples I gave you here would not change.
“Once the replies get that huge and hateful…” So you didn’t bother to read what I said because of its size? Or did you only care to respond to that last portion? Because if you actually read what I wrote instead of picking out only the part that hurt your feelings you’d see it contains an actual reply. Doesn’t matter though. You wanna run from the discussion because, just like Smash players, you can’t handle everything the game has to offer, then you do that. I’ll just assume I won this e-battle and will celebrate my well-earned victory.
Its like they don’t even realize we’ve been playing SF2 for 20+. Must be nice to have your community stuck in the same fucking game for such a long fucking time. That small, but oh so important fact is always hilariously ignored by these cocksuckers but, you know #JustSippin’Tea
The real reason Melee needs a constant influx of new players is because they are consistently losing the older top players to repetitive hand injuries… How many SF players have had to “retire” due to hand injuries?
Fucking Valle and Choi still out here dropping fools, and they’ve been playing at a consistently high level for DECADES. Melee players wish they could have that kind of longevity, but they can’t because the fucking game breaks their hands.
Half the shit you guys do is wavedash back and forth. SF does the same shit except with don’t need 8 buttons for the same effect.
“Oh look at our footsies so good because I gotta jump then evade down at the floor hella quick just to move forward a bit with some invincibility frames just because.”
Thank you for reinforcing my point. Instead of taking those handskills and applying them to something worthwhile, these idiots are sacrificing their hands for a miniscule chance at some pocket change.
So many other ways super fast finger motions can make real money, and its being wasted on a 15-year-old game that requires antiquated tech that is quickly disappearing.
