The Spam is too much. This infinite stone makes a awesome game boring and repetitive. The projectile lingers too much, does not vanish after hit, and can be spammed like crazy.
Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is a awesome game. Reality Stone Surge is ruining it.
It’s only week 3 for fucks sake!! Nobody knows how to play this game! If you don’t like Reality then pick Time! It’s called counter picking.
Seriously I’m sick of people winging about this game, even ChrisG, the problem is it’s being played like UMvC3 with added new rules, not like MvCi as it’s own entity. There’s a whole shit ton of new mechanics and options for players to use, players are just sticking to what’s winning matches and scoring them cash in tournaments. The cheap shit people like you don’t know how to deal with.
Don’t like Reality orb? Then pick Time and teleport through it. Don’t like 60% combos? Then pick Power and hit harder.
People have came from Ultimate and are like “wtf!” It’s a shock to the system, like woh everything is safe because I can just switch at any time. People are playing like scrubs, they’re tagging in their dying partners with 70% recoverable health instead of exhibiting skill and playing runaway until they recover. Total scrubs.
The answer to a problem is not to get rid of it, it’s to find a way around it and tip the balance. Stop complaining about this shit, pick Captain Marvel because she’s shit hot tier and can walk through projectiles. Show that you have skills at problem solving.
Nerfing reality will easily make it the worst stone in the game as it has to win anything major and at best just stops people from running forward and pressing buttons. Anything that forces people to come up with a gameplan for their offense is good. Just like hidden missiles. There aren’t enough defensive options in games like Marvel to further nerf the only things that force longer bouts of neutral.
Reality surge has a lot of ways to be punished and is a very weak durability projectile. The surge is basically irrelevant from far ranges (other than forcing the opponent to think about using their tracking teleport before they use it) and still has many counters when used up close. The air surge especially leaves the opponent unable to move or block for a long period of time, so it’s just a matter of coming up with options to punish.
It has a decent storm, but nothing super oppressive yet. Just kinda breaks up momentum for now. Space and Soul have much stronger storms ATM.
A real “mahvel fan” would know that the game is about picking the toppest of the top tiers, doing the most busted shit, and getting away with it. Reality isn’t anywhere near that.
