I thought she got meaningful buffs, but I think I’ll still consider using her even if I heard wrong.
It’s obvious Capcom only wants the big health characters to reach a certain potential on point because they feel higher health characters can take more hits to make up for not having game dominating tools. That’s why it’s always better to be cheap and low health than gimped but high health.
Ahhhhhhh I remember when I complained about vanilla Shuma back in the day…
Useless command Grab, couldn’t wave-dash, useless J.S, High Execution.
Then I decided to get off my ass and actually work at my favorite character besides complaining all day.
Then I realized he was decent. Far from spectacular, but not the bottom of the barrel like I thought he was.
You know if you learn proper strategy and learn your character inside and out you can make them seem like they are tiers above what they’re placed at
Yea, that’s true. I don’t like it though; High health characters should have something that keeps them from being past over. Capcom got Hulk and Thor right, but they seemed to have screwed up with Haggar and Shehulk. Not to mention characters that have low/high life for no reason (Hsien-Ko, Wesker).
The game is starting to look a little like MVC2, with characters that don’t serve any significant purpose due to the fact that other characters can do what they do and then some.
I think I may have an idea of why Tron’s combo potential was nerfed that just came to me. Don’t laugh at me too hard if you find it stupid.
Ok, you know how Tron’s staple combo hypers are mashable now? They always do massive damage as a result. Near 200k even at maximum damage scaling (my new bNb off a jH does about 580k meterless, 970k with the two bars it earns). Maybe Capcom felt that Tron’s TOD potential would have been too high if she was left as is, in additional to the mashing hypers.
Again, that’s just a possibility I thought up. I feel that her nerfs were overdone regardless, but… I think maybe she’ll still be ok…
Big characters need tools to make the opponent respect them at all times, whether it be armor or something else. Keep the opponent scared and from pressing buttons. You know, like Greenhand.
Hsien-Ko has lowish health because she is a glass cannon in Sav. Isn’t that way here, obviously. Who knows about Vanilla Wesker.
That’s the thing though, I play Hsien-Ko also. GIVE ME A BREAK. T~T
(main team is Tron/Viper/Morrigan so I’ve never had an easy ride)
we need a petition to change j.H back to the way it is. thats all i ask for. fuck the assist, at least give me vanilla tron (point) back.
No one wants or will make any changes for any of the bullshit you guy’s keep asking for.
The j.H was removed intentionally.
No assist is invulnerable.
Stop asking and for fuck sake stop reviving old troll thread.
After seeing JWong destroy Marn’s She Hulk and Phoenix with just Tron (don’t remember exactly which day that it happened) I kinda agree with nerfing Tron.
I haven’t seen this, but really She Hulk getting blown up in this game impresses you? You realize she got hit with nerfs just as hard if not more than Tron right? If you’re referring to Vanilla then I don’t understand the point at all of this. There’s a difference between balancing a character and destroying her.
The Hsein-Ko players in this topic crack me up too, she’s a way better character than A. people give her credit for B. than Tron. Does that mean she’s from stealth S tier? No, but she’s definitely got more than Tron.
You’re asking me if a defeated She Hulk impresses me? Well when your opponent is playing with a half health Tron and he/she defeats a full health She Hulk, then to answer your question yes it does. Of course I’m talking about Vanilla. When a character is seen as too good, they ultimately get nerfed. Isn’t that how it works?
Reason and logic have no place here so do not even bother.
Your in the land of nerf him not me here friend.
A half health Tron is still a 600K character and being used by Justin Wong considering the way he’s come back with 1/4th or lower health Akuma this is a terrible judge of nerfing a character. I guess Iron Fist users better watch out when Mega Man Edition comes out.
Yeah it’s perfectly reasonable to nerf a character all the way down to bottom 3-5 simply because Justin Wong beat Marn once. No one is asking for someone else to take the nerf bat to the face for her just that she was unfairly nerfed. So because a bunch of people are too dumb to block or air throw a j.H spammer Tron’s point game gets destroyed? Sounds logical. Most of the devestating Tron combos in Vanilla were because of how well she can do consecutive hypers which isn’t as big a deal with the meter gain nerf. They took away her tools and completely overlooked how much system changes effected her why? Because Capcom are stupid.
Well since this thread got necro’d, I figured I may as well post my wishlist:
>Fix the float of ground drill
>Make crossover Boulder and Drill normally special cancelable (y’know, like on point?!)
>Make HSD off jS and throws not so terrible
>Maybe a small increase in Servbot Launcher’s active frames
That’s all I want. Something that hopefully helps her…
I want armor on the first like 3-4 hits of H Drill, am I asking for too much? It’s a fucking drill >_>
What an informative and well thought out response
Capcom FG equation - Broken characters (Vanilla Sagat, AE Twins, Phoenix) and characters that win and/or place high in tourneys (Fei Long, Seth, Cody, Wolverine) = nerf bat.
