It’s not impossible. It’s just extremely unlikely given that KI is what MS requires to push X1s out the door.

Look at Halo: Spartans Assault. It’s on Steam and it’s published by Microsoft Studios. It’s not in the same category as KI, though, because it was previously on Windows tablets/phones. We can only affirm that Microsoft IS interested in developing for PC again. The market is there. Project Spark UGC (user generated content) will likely be cross-compatible with both the Windows 8 (Steam Workshop maybe?) and Xbox One versions.
