Its ok that the president shits on the American people who voted for him. But its not OK for the president to shit on a company and support what is a constitutional matter???
Fuck off Hollywood Jew Faggets.

He did it! He DID It!! :woot:
Jon Stewart mentioned and even talked quite a bit about SOPA on The Daily Show just now!!
FYI: A few days earlier, a reddit.com user had talked about getting Jon Stewart to mention SOPA (on the show), and now, it has just happened:
“I asked Jon Stewart about SOPA. He said he’d look into it, and mentioned it in the intro!”
Hollywood is openly bribing our government and destroying our country and then they have the nerve to complain when the government decides that maybe it’s a bad idea to completely destroy what’s left of this country.
Facepalm doesn’t even cut it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=T4YIs4gcQ8U#t=74s
Time to completely boycott everything Hollywood. Someone make a list to make it easier.
fuck obama, Ron Paul 2012!
You are aware that Obama and Paul are on the same side of this issue, right?
Time to stop paying for everything and start mailing* our shit** to the heads of the media conglomerates.
(*You can still send physical mail, right?)
(**And by shit, I mean fecal matter. Human fecal matter.)
I wouldn’t worry about the lobbying as much as the media coverage, since these companies own nearly all of the news outlets that people in the United States tend to pay attention to. Not only are they free to give Obama all the negative press they desire, but they could also refuse his campaign ads from appearing.
If they wanted to, these corporations could show the Democrats exactly how ruthless and cutthroat they can be, until at last they get what they desired.
Another take on SOPA (from the movie industry perspective):

I’m fairly sure he was going to be a 1-term President at this point regardless. But yeah, pretty crappy that this kind of attack happens because he actually stood up for Freedom of Speech for the people.
Wasn’t it Trent Reznor that stood up in Australia and literally told his fans at a concert to steal all his music so as to not support this kind of madness?
How hilarious (albeit remotely possible) would it be if some Hollywood star got up and said “Steal my movies, don’t support the people who do this to you”?
Ok, I have a simple question: what does have SOPA that makes it so bad ?
I don’t live in usa so I’m not that interested in this. So I would like someone to explain me in simple terms what’s so bad about sopa.
i’m also not interested in propaganda sites like americancensorsip - I would like a neutral pow if possible. Thank you.
You’re not going to find anybody who’s neutral about this thing. Just warning you ahead of time.
Here’s a breakdown, in plain English, with diagrams:

And lest you make any assumptions otherwise, this portends bad things for countries other than the U.S., too.
Wow it’s like the lobbiyists actually thought lobbying was another word for bribery and that the people they “donated to” has to ignore the interests of everyone else and just do what they want.
It was honestly sickening reading that.
@ goodmOurning Thanks man, that video was really instructing. Now I have an idea of what’s all about sopa.
But don’t you think there’s a little bit of exageration ?, I mean, for example, if the gov. finds something illegal on youtube, thy would shut down the respective channel, not the entire site (I think).
YouTube pretty much does that on their own. However, with this bill the ability is there.
So your solution would be to give them the power to shut down the whole site, and then hope they only shut down a section after you’ve given them the power to take the whole thing down? I know you stated this, but you clearly aren’t american.
you don’t give an institution (especially government, and especially the American government) that type of power and hope for the best. It never ends right, and people get hurt. Goodmourning said it best.
“People need to realize that laws are like guns to the head”. or something to that degree.

What the hell makes you think that? I just stated the ability as it is a potential outcome according to the law, not my proposed solution. I contacted both Senators and Rep for my area about my disgust about this bill. Please check yourself sir.

They own the media.
They own the banks.
They fabricate truth and money as if they were gods.
And sit on high and watch as the world burns from their actions.
And then demand tribute, from our blood sweat and tears.
It is high time we show them that they are not, in fact, gods.
Death to Hollywood.
Real talk.
Been sayin’ this for a looooooong time now…
Thank you, for finally seeing reason.
Welcome aboard!
You know, it brings up one of the more important “demands” in that OWS demands thing. They had some wording like “only an individual citizen can donate to campaigns, and only x amount” or something. And while I think this is one of the more intelligent things that should be done, and would solve a lot of these bullshit lobbying issues, there’s one really big lobbying issue that I’m having a hard time figuring out how one would even begin to remedy. Cushy job offerings. This is something that stinks way more than pouring money into someone’s campaign, because that is the promise of money directly into that politician’s pockets. A really warm security blanket. Something that, unlike the campaign contributions, actually has no paper trail.
These can, and DO happen (look at Chris Dodd for an example related to this topic directly), but how would one actually put a stop to such a thing? How do you prevent someone from accepting another job after their political career is over (and believe me, corp’s offering politicians cushy jobs for supporting their cause would lead them to do things that they would no longer care about because of their career, it has a future elsewhere now) that could potentially have been offered in a way that had given them a conflict of interest? Enact a Congress-level Internal Affairs bureau, or some equivalent to the SEC? It’s something I’ve pondered but never came up with a solution that would actually work without fucking over people for no reason.
