Mitsuru is both good and bad at punishing things. The good side is she has a lot of range, so you can punish a lot of things other characters would be too far out of their range to do anything about, with 5A, 5D, A Coup and EX Coup. The downside is her normals are extremely slow (her fastest moves are still 7F startup - the only characters her 5A actually beats are Yukiko and Elizabeth), so she has a hard time punishing things from close range and dealing with moves that don’t have a ton of recovery.
Akihiko and Yosuke are pretty good in the opposite direction. Low range but extremely fast normals. Yosuke can actually punish certain things on block that other characters can’t do anything about, like Mitsuru’s Coups.
For Kanji to me he is the easiest because the AI is predictable, don’t go close unless its a string because he will command grab you and take most of your life. He Spams Dive Grabs alot so stay crouch alot and punish on the wife. He is a free to me since i learned the pattern. Now i need to learn the Mitsuru pattern since i got caught surprise with all the instant freezes combo doing 90%+ dog.
My joy when i can finally go halfway consistently and see that achievement lol (don’t care about the score, but its just a visual reminder that im halfway through score attack XD)
So a question about the story mode…all the storylines I completed with the characters end up in a “To be continued”. I thought maybe the rest of the story will be accessible as I complete more characters but they only give you 6 bookmarks and I’ve filled them all up…the heck?
Yes, each character’s story can progress based on progressing in certain other characters’.
You don’t need all of your bookmarks, since when it sends you back to char select and you see the little circle beneath the character portrait, that progress gets saved no matter what.
-Ok first, reach the cliffhanger from any one of the “Original four”> unlocks Kanji and Teddie Story
-Reach Kanji or Teddie Cliffhanger> unlocks Naoto, Aigis, Akihiko, and Mitsuru Story
-Reach Naoto, Aigis, Akihiko, or Mitsuru Cliffhanger> Unlocks Labrys Story
-Complete Labrys Story (She has no Cliffhanger and its LONG with like 1 fight at the end)> Unlocks True ends for “Original four”, Kanji, and Teddie (Must have reached their cliffhangers first to reach “True End” section for each individual character which applies to most characters with a few exceptions (Labrys and Elizabeth)
Complete “True End” for either “Original four”, Kanji, or Teddie> Unlocks True Ends for Naoto, Aigis, Akihiko, and Mitsuru
Complete ALL character True End Paths> Unlocks Elizabeth Story
Bonus: Complete Elizabeth Story> Free Teddie Navigator
-Note There are also “Bad ends” present for some characters due to certain Dialogue choices which branches you off a different path (Chei, Yukiko, and Kanji have “bad ends” for example and they are usually presented in a comical fashion)
-You don’t need to save to every slot (Just overwrite it, The Story mode Character selecet screen will place a Silver Badge on the Specific character reaching the “cliffhanger” and a “Gold Badge” for completing the “True End”. Completing “Bad Ends” give you no medals, but do contribute to " % Complete". The Game saves for you your overall Story mode progress. The Bookmarks are only their so you can simply warp at last event you saved (They usally give you a chance to bookmark if your reaching a branch off to “bad end”)

Rank is so deadddd lol…I got a late start to this game and it took me forever to reach A rank due to waiting 10-15 mins before finding a match…Went through maining Chie then Naoto and ive come to rest with Narukami. He is awshome.
Soo unless im missing something, whats the point to the replay boards if you cant watch them? I accidentally didnt save a match replay that i wanted, is there still a way to watch it or save it? Also, how do I add a replay to my name? Thanks in advance. Searched Google but didnt find anything…
Did you figure it out? I know you can press start and itll go to your replay. Ive tryed every button and non of them play the replay. lol A replay board where you cant watch replays, stupid.

Shut the fuck up, go play, go post on the forums, go record tech, whatever. Something is something. Stop this damn sheep mentality that if a game isn’t Marvel or SF it’s not good enough to survive. The reality is the game won’t get as much numbers, but as of right no other will does it too. So just keep it going and attend your locals and support the game in any way you can.
Hey man, I had to take a break after like week 2 cause life and stuff, and I came back to this, just started posting again. It seems perfectly fine everywhere but SRK forums are pretty slow (figured a lot of people are hanging around the other more BB/Persona/MB type forums anyways). I said I don’t think we need to worry about a dying game before you went off, dude. Just chill, it probably makes the worried players (see guy above) apprehensive about keeping going when they see that hostile attitude towards them.
Didn’t you hear what Tokido said? Many players are dropping P4A because they’re going back to Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. AWS released “Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R” a couple of days ago and the upcoming “BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma” planning to be released this winter. I’m afraid that these games will kill the P4A tournament scenes. I just hope that this game will at least still be played on the online multiplayer for a long time. I may be wrong but this is my theory.
