Instant AirBackDash-Forward is the game’s real short hop. (IABDF?) The actual short hop just seems to be there for fighting Kanji.
wtf, the game doesn’t change the button layout of the command list or for challencges when you change your buttons. That…really sucks
It’s basically an alternative to IAD with a different angle but still similar speed and risk. It was never supposed to be as dominating as a kof hop.
should i change my layout ? i mean the default is square on console, but is that the same on arcade? i can’t really decide which one will be most comfortable

Ya, I am the same. I am just kinda pressing buttons (I know its the worst thing you can do), I don’t feel like I know what to do. This is my first anime fighter that might be the problem but it just seems like when I do win one of my matches its not very rewarding. The button layout is killing me also, not sure why but I seem to still be in AE: mode thinking I have a jab,strong,fierce and 3 punches and 3 kicks. I guess it just takes time and practice.
Edit: It also does not help that I have it for 360 and it lags like crazy.

I’m pretty sure I broke a chair, a controller, and had to Spackle a wall during that shit.
I’ve spent 3 hours doing challenges just trying to get comfortable with the controls and my mind is still literally fried. I’m afraid it may take me weeks to a month just to get comfortable with that, and then I might be able to start learning how to actually play this game. The traditional SF 6 button lay out is so in stilled in me(since 1992 with SF2: WW), that I can barely grasp any other control scheme for a fighter. I haven’t felt this lost since my brief stint trying to play Marvel 3.
Like I said I’ll try and stick with it though. I also got the game on 360 so going online won’t be too good for now. But even if everybody else sucks, I don’t even want to go online anyways until I feel like I have a certain grasp of this game. I’m definitely still in SF mode as I find myself constantly trying to jab.
Can anybody tell me what instant kills are vulnerable to? I just decided to do it online and I got away with it, seems like he couldn’t hit me. So is throwing somebody out of it the answer?

[details=Spoiler] You fighting against your own party (Akihiko/Ken, Junpei/Koromaru, Mitsuru/Yukari) was pretty boss with the emotions going on during the fight (Heartful Cry going on while this happened only just increased the impact)

Did anyone else have trouble finding the game? I went every where to find P4 but no one was stocking it, sadly then I had to go to gameslop and get a copy and they only had 2 copies one which was pre ordered and the other was just for anyone. I find it weird that it their was quite a bit of hype behind this game but Walmart nor Target even had it stocked.
I went to Fry’s Electronics (but this was at about 9am, so they had just opened.) And they had probably 7-10 copies on the shelf and who knows how much more in the back.
And if they had any copies, usually Best Buy has some too. I’m not sure about Walmart or Target though.

Ya I had to get mine at Gamestop and I thought the soundtrack was only included if you pre ordered the game? I didn’t and it still came with one unless Gamestop just gave me the guy’s who pre ordered it. Wonder why no one is caring it though I didn’t get KOF sucks they did it for that also.
