Really? I thought it was perfect, but hey, I never have a keen eye, but a good listener. How do the characters feel out of places to you?
Platinum is a “magical girl” anime cliche character archetype
The game had a “magic” like atmosphere where the characters/plot look like it came from a fantasy world
connect the dots…
On another note, anyone have any vague ideas/predictions how the P4U story mode will turn out?
They’re all wacky really, werewolf, vampire, ninja, wannabe robot, Michael Jackson, not that out of place.

People didn’t like it because BlazBlue is not fun and boring.
Slow paced gameplay, balance changes that felt like it was done by someone who was bi-polar, poor character designs (never knew a character with chains could be sooooooooo boring), and a lot of fail safes in the game to keep the game as tame as possible to create one of the most boring games I’ve ever played. It’s the only game I can think of that got worse each version that was dished out (CT is no doubt the best version).
Even the strategy behind the game is heavily lacking in how it’s design, but it was supposed to be “brain-less” for the new crowd.
It’s just too easy to break down why the game is awful. I’d go on, but this discussion has been done to death before (and plus this is a P4U topic). What I always find funny about these debates are the people who agree. I thought I was alone on it, but a lot of strong players I spoke with also agree (few times I was caught off guard since I prepare for flame wars, when in the end the feeling was mutual).
Let’s hope Persona 4 doesn’t make the same mistakes that Blaz did.
And from what people are telling me and from what I watched, it looked like they avoid anything that Blaz attempted except for a few things. So that’s cool.
Persona 4 Arena has many strong points IMO and these are why I am very excited to actually play it as my first “anime fighter”

[]The Persona franchise. Hot off the heels of me finally finishing P3P/FES and the P4Animation (which is why I refer to the game as P4U everywhere not to confuse myself with the anime), this game couldn’t have come at a better time.
[]Faster paced than a lot of games I’m used to seeing.
[]Easy to pick up: Well it’s kind of a double edge sword and as much of a character loyalist I usually am, it’s nice to know I could pick up other characters without too much time invested and fit it to how I play.
[]The game looks great. I miss 2D sprites. BlazBlue has very good looking stuff and ASW/Atlus didn’t disappoint here.
[]The game sounds great. I’ve never felt more pumped playing the game and having the nice tunes pump energy into me because let’s be honest if you’ve played the RPGs, you know there’s plenty of emotion racking in when you will beast someone under the influence of Aegis, Elizabeth, Mitsuru, Naoto, and whoever else’s theme songs you like that are remixed.

Well, looks like the troll’s been spotted here.
The only thing I agree on is that this is the P4 thread, which begs the question of why people wanted to start this whole pointless (and incorrect) bit in the first place in here.
As a persona fan from ps3 on ps2 im buying this ,as a fightgame fan, i know i will hate this game lol, This anime games always make me feel like im restricted into learning there 1 long combo and thats how im meant to play, like a rhythm game BnB…like im in fucking anime guitar hero shackles
Hello, you must be new here.
If anything you will be learning a lot more than just one long combo
OH!! i thought of it that way :0.
Is there a weird story line because some of the characters from Persona 3 and Fes 3 are there? I know it’s a fighting game and it doesn’t really matter, but I’m sorta curious. I’m always game if it’s going to be a easy to pick up fighting game :)))
Let’s hope that isn’t true. Even most anime fighting games usually have really LONG combos. Maybe the game will have some good skill to it :))
which shows that you are playing this games wrong, not to mention that you have a bad understanding of them
There’s at least 30-40 hours of story mode content. There will be plenty of things to figure out.
Probably not a weird storyline but I do remember hearing Atlus say that P4A will have 30-40 hours of story. Buy P3 and P4 occur within i believe 2 years of each other and make references to p3. Also they will explain how the Mitsuru, Aigis, and Akihiko made their way to Inaba.
Son, I’ve been lurking the board since before there was talk about Continuum Shift Vanilla.
that’s new to some people haha
I actually still wonder what makes it 30-40 hours of content.
BlazBlue story can be 100% in less than 2 hours if you skip all the dialog. I know that sounds silly, but how exactly are they measuring the story in length?

You should continue lurking.
slow clap I’d tip my hat if I gave a shit, I really would.
After watching the EVO footage I am even more hyped for this game.
Really hoping to see a strong online lifespan.
