Companies are going to prey upon gamers up until the day said gamers stop unquestioningly consuming.
The only reason that games cost $60 this gen, is because companies tested the market last gen, with $60 “special editions” that had a .05 dollar toss away plastic toy included and a tin box (Halo, for a specific example).
This is the reason why I have not bought as many games this gen, much less on day one.
Fuck them and their greed.
And fuck all of the mook “gamers” who are facilitating the demise of the hobby.
I will enjoy my $70 games that I CHOOSE to buy. Funny how im sure most people crying about the prices have bought dlc/multiple versions of games. I know some of you have cause well…this is srk, you paid for sf4, ssf4 and AE. MvC3 and UMvC3, etc

I never import games, and you’re right. Nobody on srk bought sf4 and its upgraded version or MvC3 and its upgraded version.

You do realize that video games is FAR from the only thing that gets inflated in price. A ten dollar increase on a video game is peanuts compared to the amount of inflation that in the other costs that happens daily lol. Yes, because the consumer can just boycott all those inflated prices because you personally don’t feel like its fair. ok then. btw boycotting a game does not help the economy i.e. the reason for the value of certain monetary value decreasing in the world. Hello increased prices and Video Game budget costs would be least of our worries if we all took up arms and acted in your ideology.

Jamp’s in Brazil, due to the tax on buying games there he has to rely on imports for his games.
Ando and I live in Australia where games overall are less pricey than Brazil although still high (unless you know where to shop) although the problem we’re more concerned with is that the Australian release for the game might come out way later over here due to it being an Atlus game (we didn’t get Catherine until Feburary this year).

i sort of assume (wrongly) that people in the regions that get a lot less love just end up buying different region consoles to deal with issues like this. hopefully it all works out for everyone (in a timely manner).

its all watevs to me, i’ll just buy the game and enjoy it. Region locking isn’t a big deal to me, so i ain’t really makin a fuss. I sympathize with those that live outside of the countries the games are locked to, but right noe, you guys are kind of looking like babies.

Man I gotta grow up and buy me some of those gems, with a side order of online unlock codes and singleplayer games that you need to be logged onto the net all the time to play, tis the only way to be a man.
