Yea I trying to find a good job so i can move out. I love my parents and all but I do want my independence.
And I don’t want to rely on them for money things, but at this point I have to.
It’s actually her house hahaha. She hates the house and its only 5 min from my job so Imoved in and pay the mortgage an shit instead of rent. Been talkin to her sbout assuming the whole house actually. Honestly she wont be here for long, she hates it in mass. Lookin to move to Kentucky or some shit. The only thing about her movin in for a bit that has me pausing is her dogs. She has 5 of them. Ande their little…uhg. I hate little dogs.
move to kentucky? fuck, why would anyone want to do that (is from kentucky)?
No fucking clue dude. Apperantly it’s not as cold there or some shit.
It’s really that cheap out there?
I actually work on Wall St so I don’t know how they do it. I have always wondered how the guys in the bagel carts live. Do they stay in their cars (that they use to tow the cart back and forth)? In an apartment with 6 other people? Selling drugs on the side? No idea really.
Think about it, the guys on bagel carts don’t pay rent, they just have to renew their license / permit, and the likely make big profit daily. You sit yourself in front of a building, make $500 - $1000 a day if things go well, then you’re good.
Dogs aren’t my family nor is any other pet…Animals no permitted…
Maybe she’s black & thinks KFC is better there…
I wouldn’t say its that cheap but you can save a couple hundred thousand if you plan on buying a house…
I live alone in a townhouse with an extra bedroom. I could have a roommate but I don’t just because I like living alone. I know plenty of people who stay at home for many different reasons, but my own feeling is that you need to do things on your own once you become of age. The age isn’t specifically 18 in my eyes. Nothing wrong with staying home if you are going to college or if you have fallen on hard times.
The people I can’t stand though, are the kids who still live at home and think they are ballers just because all of their income is pretty much disposable. Working full time, living at home for free, not having to pay for food, and all that might mean that you can afford to make payments on that new G35 or whatever, but that shit don’t make you a baller since you still live at home with your moms.
your bagels have to stay fresh daily and changed out every hour or so…so you gotta buy mad bread with bread…but your right though…park your cart in front of a huge ass building and get paid…since people want something quick and not as fattening…a quick bagel and juice/coffee is the way to go…
your done if there’s an einstein bros. INSIDE the building though
People often move to KY to take advantage of the vastly different cost of standard of living.
If you have worked for 20 years in Los Angeles or New York I’m assuming you could save up 100k. I don’t really know I haven’t lived there but if people are really making 100k a year on middle-class income then I’m going to say it’s possible.
If you have that in your bank account, and then sell you house or whatever in Los Angeles for another 100k and come to certain parts of KY with 200k then you are RICH. Fabulously wealthy.
And I’m not talking about some backwoods eastern KY coal mining town 100 miles from nothing. There are plenty of nice rural places all over the state that are close to towns with five to ten thousand people.
200k will buy you a huge house and land for it to go on. Or you could just rent a house in one of the towns until you die. Rent for a HOUSE is about $300 a month in my parents hometown.
Aside from the above, what about those young people who live at their own place but still rely on their parents for all their bills? I would consider them worse than those that stay at home.
I could never understand, wanting to be 30 and live at home.
Only reason I’m still here is because I can’t afford not to be.
amen
My dad was disappointed when I decided to move out. He wanted me to stay even if I got married and have kids.
I guess it is a cultural thing. I’m americanized so obviously I do want my own independence, but my upbringing was very korean. So I felt like an asshole when I could’ve stayed taking care of my grandparents and help out generally.
rent is actually cheaper cause I don’t give my dad his allowance anymore. But I never considered that a payment, cause we’re family. And I have to eat shitty food now. But that’s all in the name of independence I guess. Since I started living independently, I guess I can expect my kids to do the same. Sucks for my dad who’s getting screwed over by both side of the generation.
Moved out my parents house since I was 18. Haven’t spent longer than 10 days in it since I left. My parents come visit me.
The closer you keep your family the better.
$300 for rent? This is without roommate? Man im renting out my other home for $1800 a month
game over, nigga! Your target has been infiltrated.
Yeah, this is really nice. I actually just moved to KY about a month ago from Pittsburgh. The cost of living in Pittsburgh is relatively low, but KY is even cheaper still. My girlfriend and I are currently apartment hunting and we’re looking at places with 2 or 3 times the amount of space as my old apartment back in Pittsburgh for less money. I dig it.
move to vegas
i bought a mansion, 6 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, pool, 3 acres, gated community
