Got one of these things a few years back, used it at first but now it’s just sitting in my closet. Was wondering if this thing would be worth the time and effort to mod? If it is, what kind if buttons stick should I get that will fit without having to drill holes bigger or any crazyness like that.
Any help/advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
from what I’ve read, it takes the least amount of effort to mod it with happ parts, which are pretty inexpensive anyway. I’d say go for it, just put some happ competition buttons and a stick in there and you are good to go.
Cool man, thats what I had in mind. Was actually just checking prices on there site. Think I may paint the thing to or something once it get the new parts in, thing is hella ugly.
be sure to go through a reseller like ponyboy on the trading forums. If you buy directly from Happ, you are gonna get hit with some crazy handling fees.
Hmm wasn’t aware of that I’ll be sure to check the thread, thanks for the heads up
Happ parts fit in this? Interesting. Do you have a link to a modding guide?
Edit: I found the thread on modding it. Looks like someone put in a sanwa stick with happ competition buttons. I don’t think I’d want a hybrid and I’m too lazy to fix the holes so sanwas fit in it. Guess once my happ finkle stick gets done I’ll have to start looking into getting a sanwa made too.

It’s just like modding the SFAE stick (actually it’s easier because w/ the Pelican you don’t have to mess w/ t-molding or plexiglass in order to remove the stick). Cut off the wires close to the microswitches, crimp quick disconnects, put the Happ parts in, plug everything and you’re good to go.
Ah, I didn’t know happ competition sticks went in that easily. I guess I’ll have to think about picking one of these up to mod.
Very cool info. I’m actually starting to be glad I bought the thing. Seeing as I don’t see myself actually being able to construct a box myself. Thanks again guys.
