Hello! I’ve recently acquired a Hori Fight Edge with a Brooks UFB and Jasen’s EZ Mod in place. I wanted to add LEDs to my buttons via the Kaimana board, and wanted to confirm that I was planning my mod appropriately. Since the EZ uses the 20 pin on the UFB, and I don’t trust my soldering skills enough to add an additional header, I was planning on using the breakout board. I’m only planning on lighting up the 8 main buttons plus start.
Would I be able to use a 20 pin harness into the Kaimana from the buttons, then take a ground from the breakout and split it between the EZ mod grounds, and take the signal from the breakout and feed that into the signal on the UFB? I’d be giving “Start” it’s own ground into the lock switch controlled ground on the EZ, and I would bridge the VCC from the UFB to the Kaimana breakout, if I’m reading and seeing everything correctly.
I just wanted a second opinion/confirmation that I’m looking at wiring this up correctly. Thank you!
