So I bought some PCB feet to put in my Saulabi from LizardLick, while I’m using the MC Cthulhu and SE FightStick boards, as well as an Imp, and the screws are too big for the holes. On top of that, it is impossible to drill out the holes in the 360 board, as all around the holes are ground traces.
So I’m looking for PCB feet with screws small enough to hold these boards without modifying the boards. Right now, they’re being held in by electrical tape, and while that’s all well and good for now, this can’t be a permanent solutions, as any time these boards get loose from the tape, they jostle around and cause disconnect issues.
Does anyone know where I can find them, and where I can order them?
I’m also looking for some PCB mounts. I’ve tried searching for some on Digikey with not much luck - they may have them but I’m still trying to get my head around their search tool.
Some push-in mounts would be ideal, if Digikey stock them in the UK.
Those look great, but anywhere I can get them that isn’t Korea? As much as I like etokki, I don’t want to get raped on shipping for 2 sets of pcb feet.
My local hardware store has nylon spacers in various sizes and some are the perfect inside/outside diameters for 4-40 and M3 screws. (I end up cutting them to length since they come in 1/2"-1" lengths.)
If you don’t have an awesome local hardware store some Home Depots have 4-40 or M3 sized nylon spacers. I have, however, moved to using McMaster-Carr for hardware bits. They’ve got a great selection, though the interface leaves a little to be desired it works well enough with practice.
Yeah, I see your point. I thought what I paid for at LL was cheaper than it was, turns out it’s only $0.50 less than from eTokki. So I probably will be buying some from there.
Anyway, to the person who suggested Standoffs, that’s not going to happen for me. The permanency isn’t good for my application, especially with an SE PCB inside. I don’t want to have put them in, and then something happens with the SE board, and I have to struggle to pull it out, because it’s now glued in. I’m looking for PCB feet so that, despite the fact that the feet are installed firmly in there, if something goes wrong with the board, I can just open up the feet and remove the board.

PCB standoffs look like exactly what you need.
The PCB is screwed into the standoffs, so you can always just unscrew it to remove it. And if you need to remove the standoffs for whatever reason (if you used hot glue)- as well as hot glue holds it comes off just as clean with enough force.
The only place the hot glue would come into play is physically securing the standoffs to the case itself, which unless you’ve got some other way of attatching feet or a standoff (such as screwing it into the case) is your only real option.
