I don’t think everyone has it installed yet, give it a day.
My main gripe is the netcode right now and these stupid laggy matches.
Oh and I’ll be happy if they DON’T give us the update if it keeps those retarded as fuck new assist gems out of my matches.
Nevermind, it does have the sound icon. So at least I can mute them. And yes, I’m not going to memorize a whole list of names of people I could’ve played months ago.
Man this game is FUN, I just got done teaming up for the 1st time online PC, it was AWESOME. So much hate flying around SRK I swear u people just love to hate.
i tried to play against you yesterday. but i couldn’t . you had 1 bar of connection rating. thats why. i’m saying this now since i recognize your tag from yesterday.
when compared with the PC launch debacle of SF4:AE, SFxTekken is indeed a masterpiece. Also regarding performance, it is much lighter. I get 150 fps on a laptop at 1600x900 Full Screen with Vsync and Filters off, something unattainable in SF4, even on an overclocked desktop. though in windowed mode performance drops a little.
regarding online, things are much better if you team with a person of the same region and play against others. There were cases though were playing 4 players online would stuck at the character selection screen to the point that I thought it was a game bug, but fortunately 4 player matches work. Waiting for patches, so I devote more time in offline sessions to become familiar.
Now instead of the slow-motion speed we get invisible frames in slow connections. more annoying really.
Regarding BP, now it is much easier to gain them if you team up with a good player. you do almost nothing and can gain points easily.
AE window mode is very glitchy. SFxT looks great and performs better. Also better than the AE menu navigation binding to lk and mk, so annoying if you have your buttons changed. SFxT works normally and even has a custom button config for menu nav if you want to choose.
Online is much better now than it was the 1st day I played it for some reason.(im thinking the HD defrag helped)
interesting, cuz since sunday I quit playing sfxt and just waiting now for the netcode patch.
there is no point in contructing bullshit to explain the crappy netplay experience. the only solution is a patch. yeah, sometimes a match isn’t laggy but for the most part the online matches are pretty much unplayable through constant lag teleports which makes blocking nearly impossible… and that’s not a ping issue.
no hate, just sain’ how it is. capcom already said that they recognized the issue, so I have no problem on my side… just waiting for the patch.
I had around 18 games online, and out of those matches I think one of them didn’t lag. Even then, it still had that irritating sound issue.
But I am not bothered at the moment. I’ll play around in single player for now and do what I can there, and I’ll jump back into online mode once a patch is released.
I don’t want to sound rude, but try to understand that this was propably just a coincidence…or your HDD being awfully neglected (though by all means, any reader who did not defrag in a while should certainly do so, you’ll do your PC a favour). I’d rather people don’t have false hopes.
The 1st day was horrible because everyone went and tried the game. Including people with abysmal internet connections. By now, said troublemakers are surely leaving the game in hordes, disgusted by the netcode. The rest of us will have to wait this out, see what Capcom manages to fix (or break) in a later patch.
No prob, just letting people know I actually am having a good experience with the game online and trying to help others out. There is so much hate and crap talk around here lately it makes me want to forget this site all together at times.
So yea if you didnt defrag your HD in a while, it might help since there are a lot of files in a game.
fun fact: defragmenting doesn’t do almost jack sh*t ever since Windows is using NTFS, especially with modern hard drives
it might improve load times marginally, but in no way shape or form has any impact on actual game performance after everything is loaded into RAM
