or you know, they can give us an arcade port, since many arcade systems are very similar to pcs. sf4 runs on taito type x2 which runs embeded windows xp os. blazblue also runs on taito type x2 and someone hacked the encryption to get it to run on a standard pc. not sure how it works exactly, but theoretically i would think someone would be able to do the same for ssf4?
Seeing as Marvel isn’t popular in Japan and arcades are dead in the US, I highly doubt Capcom is doing an arcade port of this game.
PC version of MvC3?
More like the future world record for most pirated game.
If they are going to release an update after mvc3, the release of a pc version for marketing purposes may be quite possible, like SFIV and GGXXR.
I dont think this is the case but I hope they make a pc version, srsly.
Actually, I’m of the firm belief that because this is Marvel, that the player base is going to be substantially higher. Casuals won’t see “Marvel” how we know it. They just know it’s a game where the Hulk fights Iron Man. Marvel has mass appeal to the casuals. It’s an entirely different market than fighting game fans.
This game is going to outsell SFIV and Super combined simply due to the Marvel label.
That being said. I want a PC version at some point.
If there’s a PC version of this game it will be the most pirated game ever made
If there’s an xbox version of this game it will be the most pirated game ever made
i dont think so cause i think that only the US players are into it and maybe some of eurpean players but thats nothing and if it has the same price as ssf4 its easy to buy than to download.
for an low amount of money you get a very good game. im living in europe i was fuckin amazed with this game when i first saw it and hope from the very begining that they will make a PC version
Exactly and PC sales haven’t been that good for Capcom, so a PC version is unlikely.

Piracy, torrentplox, etc.
I’d be hype for a PC release, but I’ll wait for a PC release of SSF4 first, and http://shoryuken.com/f315/super-street-fighter-iv-pc-version-210117/ pretty much sums up our odds.
This. Also, wasn’t Sims one of the most pirated games ever? Just throwing it out there.
I highly doubt this would happen. I they would SSF4 (A much more popular game) would of got a PC release.
Clearly, if this was on PC, it would probably beat Sims record.
i’m not sure about that, but i do know that sims is the best-selling pc game. so it doesn’t sound like piracy had much of an effect on it.
also, i doubt this game would be pirated more than games like gta and cod.
honestly what capcom should do is just make it digital-download only (i.e. steam), so they don’t have to waste money on any kind of production costs. anyone who is serious about the game on pc would of course have to buy it legit in order to play online. theres no way piracy would kill sales to the point of losing significant profit.
Steam only is the key. Steam is pretty much the only distributor on PC that isn’t losing money with their releases.
No thanks.
1: Game gets pirated heavily, Capcom makes less money, less money = less fighting games in the future.
2: Naked Felicia combo videos on Youtube. Everyone who plays MVC3 is lame by association.
why not. It would have better custom skins, compared to Vanilla/SSF IV.
SSF4 would have to come out on PC first off, and even if it does, it’d have to be successful. In a way, SSF4 is dictating everything that’s going to happen with this game from DLC success to previews and such. This would be no different.
I don’t think that would be good. You just can’t stop pc players from cheating and ruining that shit for people forced to play on the straight and narrow. Call me salty, but does anyone remember the shit that went down back in the Dreamcast days of Quake III? Shit was awesome. Wow, I’m chatting with a guy who’s on pc? COOL! 4 days later (less than a week into the Dreamcast release, folks), pc players started running around using any combination of the following shenanigans:
invisible
one-shot-killing with any weapon
unlimited ammo
invincibility.
Pc vs console prospects since then made me turn a jaundiced eye and a sneer. Pc players are always gonna mod and cheat whenever they can, since they can’t handle the notion of losing in a fair match against a “mere” console player.
