PC version of MvC3 what do you think about it?

No, because you play on Xbox.
As I said I could go out and buy the game for my Xbox and get some XBL right now, but XBL is the fucking devil’s work.

Yea, its best you wait out that PC version of AE and MvC3.

Of course it is.
Because AE’s been p. much confirmed and MvC3, I give no longer than a year.
And since PC isn’t tainted by Nazi online services, I’ll be much happier with my purchase, hence why I’m waiting.

Lmao, this dude is just flamebaiting. Clearly for some god unknown reason hes retarded enough to think hes cool because he has the game on a console. That should prove enough that you either have a mental problem or you need a better hobby.

Unlike you I didnt discover fighters yesterday. Im not flamebaiting nor trolling or whatever you idiots want to call it. You guys are just a bunch of masochist idiots. If you like something, then go out there and get it. Thats what the real fighting fan does. When the industry shut us out and we were here playing 3rd strike and MvC2 for 10 plus years none of you idiots were here.

Let me put this straight, there is nothing wrong for wanting AE or MvC3 to come out on PC. My issues is that could have it now and instead of supporting Capcom for putting back their faith in the fighting genre again you sit on the internet on some thread that isnt even on the official Capcom forums bitching that theres no PC version. 99% of you 2009+ forum posters are a bunch of assholes.

Sorry but I’m supporting Capcom enough when it comes to our platform of choice. My issue is you telling us to buy a fucking console when we don’t want to. Its called consumer choice. We all know how much money you would dump into being a fighting game hero or some shit, but unlike you, we want to play a fucking game on whatever we prefer. Hilarious you call us assholes when you don’t understand something as simple as personal preference then flame us for it. What a tool.

If Capcom wants their games to reach a wider audience, the solution is simple, release it on more than two fucking platforms. You make it sound as if they lost money on a PC release of SF4. Jesus Christ.

Here is a really simple way to put it, including the “piracy” argument.

If it cost $100k to port a game to PC, then it sells $500k worth with 2 million pirated copies. Thats still a profit of $400k.

If they choose not to release a game on PC, or any other platform for that matter, it costs 0, sells 0 and gets pirated 0 times. Profit: 0.

Which is better?

I agree everyone pre 2009 around here are hero’s. You guys dont know how good you have it now and will never be able to really appreciate it. Personal preference or not, support the scene, support the genre, cause I tell you before 2009 thats what everyone was doing when all you guys were playing Halo and even Capcom didnt make a fighting game for 10+ years. Back then none of us had a choice.

I’m not supporting Capcom if the only way to play the game is to pay for online capabilities, or buy an AU$500 system with free online have my console open to bans by other users with modded systems.
Why would I support Capcom if they aren’t supporting me?
The Fighting game Crash point is moot, They lost too much money on SFIII because they spent too much.
MvC3 is a low-budget game, the engine is derivative of the TvC engine, and Zero is almost a direct transfer from TvC.
Even if they released it on nothing but PC they’d turn a nice profit from it.
You’re a damn sheep, you’d buy a Capcom fighting game even if you didn’t care about it just because you want capcom to "Keep faith in fighters"
There are many different companies making many different fighting games now, Capcom could drop right off and I wouldn’t care less.
If you think otherwise, I feel bad for you.

“2009+ Forum posters”

Oh boy here we go again.
Assumptions that people who didn’t join SRK until 2009 didn’t care about fighters until 2009.
Go fuck yourself, elitist prick.

I gotta say it would be interesting but I dont think it would happen . Capcom is one to release a big fighter for computers thats why mugen is so big for one thing.

Exactly what Im talking about. Thanks for supporting everything I stated in my post.

Listen, I can tell that your intentions are good and all telling us to support the scene but you have to realize that many of us have no intention of buying a console for a single game. I have and will support Capcom and whatnot once it does come to PC and till then I will wait, and I’m pretty sure most of the other PC users in this thread will as well. Telling us to buy consoles and calling us “assholes” for no good reason isn’t helping.

If anything, buying a console would be supporting MS/Sony more than Capcom, and releasing it on PC would just help the game reach a wider audience, whats the downside in that?

Besides there are many other games/genres I play on PC. I support blizzard/valve etc because they release the games I want on PC. They get my money, Capcom doesn’t. Simple as that.

I would love there to be a PC version then I could use my 360 stick to Practice instead of having to but a New stick… but I don’t think they are going to come out with one because of pirating… cause I haven’t seen a SSF4 on PC yet… or is there one coming out?

Oh, right, I forgot you don’t get how much a PC release supports Capcom.
PC has no:
Bullshit Licensing fees
Pre-owned copies (More damaging than Piracy these days)
Restrictions on how Capcom runs their game, distributes DLC, etc.

All of the fees that Sony charge for DLC? Gone, put them up on gaming sites like they do with updates.
All of the Pre-owned sales that Earn Capcom absolutely no money whatsoever? Gone, every legal sale earns Capcom full profit.
You’re so riled up in how you need to buy buy buy to support Capcom and have no idea just how hard Capcom gets fucked by Sony and MS every single time they release a game.
By them releasing it on PC, and me buying a copy on PC, supports them in a way that you couldn’t even fathom with your mentality on how to help a Company.

PC Release hurts nothing, earns Capcom more money, is nearly effortless with the 360 and PC frameworks being so similar (And this is assuming the engine isn’t already running on PC)
And it lets people with no consoles, or people like myself who want to remove consoles from their lives until they get their shit sorted, play MvC3 hassle-free.

But of course, your skewed views on Piracy (Perpetuated by Companies like Activision who are hell bent on conditioning people into paying subscriptions for everything and then on-disc DLC and worthless DLC after that) prevent you from seeing the benefits of PC releases, so I don’t expect you to understand.

I have said it already once, and no one even bothered to comment, so I will say it again:

SSF4 for PC was not going to happen until AE, because AE would be developed on PC hardware, on a Windows front-end. From the completion of AE for the arcades, the only thing necessary to do a PC version of SSF4 AE would be hardware optimizations for the various set-ups that gaming builds employ. Doing this does a few things:

  1. Allows the development teams that were working on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of SSF4 to now focus their full attention on AE, because hardware optimizations would be the most time consuming part of AE’s development on PC hardware. More people working on it, the better a product it will be, and the faster it will be done.

  2. Saves time and money, because since AE was already scheduled to be developed, why create 3 teams for the base version of SSF4 (360, PS3, and PC), when you are going to develop the final revision of the game (for the foreseeable future) on PC hardware? It makes more sense to develop and release the 360 and PS3 versions, and let the PC version of SSF4 be AE. Doing anything else would have taken even longer for ALL versions, AND AE. It only makes sense to have the final revision for the time being, go on the PC.

  3. Now since AE is essentially done on PC, all that is left is to port over the character changes to 360 and PS3, which isn’t a difficult process at all, just time consuming. Then all three versions of AE can see a release within the same time frame. People think AE won’t be DLC, but it will. There’s no point whatsoever in spending all that money manufacturing new discs, manuals, advertising, etc. when all of the changes to the game are on existing game files. New characters obviously aren’t existing game files, but it doesn’t make their inclusion into the game via DLC difficult whatsoever.

People can blame piracy all they want to, but in reality you will never know how many people world-wide downloaded a particular game, and piracy on the Xbox 360 and now, the PS3 are just as rampant. I would even go so far as to say that Xbox 360 piracy is even higher than PC piracy due to the fact that more games are released on the Xbox 360 than on the PC these days.

On the last page someone said something to the effect of SF4 PC users being left with their pants down, while the iPhone version of SF4 was constantly updated. What kind of joke is that statement? The iPhone version of SF4 was so bare-bones, so limited that those updates were necessary for the longevity of the game. The PC version of SF4 is the full game that was released on the consoles, with ALL updates the consoles saw, and is capable of any kind of costume, menu, voice over, announcer, music, stage, SFX, etc. mods that a person can think up. I have every alt 2 & 3 from SSF4 on my SF4 PC. I have the vanilla arcade blocking SFX on my SF4 PC. I have the SSF4 announcer on my SF4 PC. I have all of the Gouken (and others, like Ryu’s air tatsu) voice over changes from SSF4 on my SF4 PC. I have SSF4 stage music on my SSF4 PC (all of these being direct file rips mind you, with costumes back-ported)…My copy of vanilla SF4 has more potential than your console version of the game ever did, AND the game cost $25 less than the console versions ON TOP OF THAT. So how is that being left with our pants down? If anything, you did.

MvC3 PC? It will come eventually. I will wait for it.

Hi guys, I’m new here

Just wanna say that I’m those who want MVSC3 to have a pc version.
I dont give a damn about about piracy, profits, and stuffs; I dont care. Either way find, but I’ll most likely buy the original since I live in student’s dorm & the internet connection here suck as hell -_-’ (I leave overseas now)

aaaaaaannnnddd…

how stupid I am to not brought my PS3 to my dorm & can imagine how my lil’ bro MVC3-gasming my PS3; just as he did it with street fighter 4 (T_T)

aaaaaaannnddd…

I have a gaming laptop, and I’d love to waste every poundstr if this game ported to pc.

Make this thread popular guys, keep it goin!! :woot:

@ProjectJustice

Seriously, what a troll.
It’s really funny that you think that becoming a SRK member in 2009 or later equals being some kind of fighting game noob or similar, and everyone before that are “heroes”. . .

I became a member last year, but i’ve been playing fightinggames since the 80’s. Amongst other things i was the Swedish Tekken 1&2 champion back in the mid/end 90’s and i personally got the local interrest up for SF2 back in the day, and so on and so forth. To this day i love fighting games like there’s no tomorrow. The problem with SRK is people like you, seriously. Why the fuck do you have to come in here and basically taunt the people wanting some quality capcom games on PC?
Give it a rest will ya?

Another big problem on these forums are all the elitist jerks replying to friendly people in a way they most likely wouldn’t dare IRL.

Sure, some threads shouldnt be created in the first place, but tell that person that in a more friendly way instead of with the usual bullshit attitude.

Sigh… Rant over.

Cheers

Yes it does.

Did you read anything I have actually posted? Seems that you didnt and as for you being in the scene. Sure you were around during the dark ages.

You’re too hung up on corparation and labels. I game on PC. My PC probably has better specs than yours. Its not even about that. Like I said you just wont get it and thats fine. I dont expect you to.

People just want MvC3 on PC so they can torrent it. It’s a waste of time, money and resources for Capcom.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You are quite literally making it up as you go along.

You have some gimped, Frankenstein copy of Vanilla with pirated Super assets that nobody plays. Sounds awesome.
