Who would support MvC3 on the PC? After seeing SF4 work so well on the PC I wouldn’t want to play a fighter on any other platform (crazy I know). Better performance, online play, options, more space to save replays and easier to record matches, etc. And for a game like MvC3, mods could be something incredible.
While there are currently no plans for a PC version, Capcom has been pretty good about listening to their fans as of late. If we want a PC version, we better speak up as soon as possible so we only have to wait 2 months after the console release to get it.
After SF4 (and soon SSF4) on the PC, I’d figure more PC gamers are becoming fighter fans. SF4 PC was actually the first fighting game I played seriously, so I’m living proof. And if a crazy popular game like MvC3 came to the PC fully featured, it would probably seal the deal for making PC a real fighting game platform, and other developers might be soon to follow (BB:CS please) since Capcom would control almost all the fighting going on in the PC.
I’d love to see this. But considering that SF4 was the all but one most pirated game last year, I wouldn’t count on it. But capcom can be sure I’ll be paying them for it!
Well it’s using an updated version of the engine used by several games Capcom released on PC (DMC4, RE5), so I’d say it’s pretty likely to get a PC release unless Capcom changes their policies.
I’d always buy pc over any other version if they released them at the same time as the consoles.
Having it released months after just always seems like an afterthought.
So if it released simultaneously with console versions, yes, I’d buy it.
Why wouldn’t it be a good idea? Of course that would be dope, the more people that get to play it the better, though I’m definitely picking my copy up on the PS3.
Regardless of piracy and the smaller player base, Capcom has stated repeatedly that they were pleased with the PC sales of SF4 and that it turned a decent profit.
The only explaination that leaves for not bringing SSF4 and MvC3 to PC is laziness.
This, I only got into SFIV cause I didn’t have to shell out for a system I wasn’t going to use a lot anyways.
I know they are not likely to go with a simultaneous release but I could wait a couple of months and throw the $500 a PS3 costs on my PC which I’ll be doing since Starcraft 2 is likely to come out this year.
