That was with everything turned on and on high.
Graphics card is a ATI HD4850 with 512MB DDR3.
I honestly didnt expect it to do that well, but the benchmark gave it an A. 1680x1050 is my monitors native resolution so thats what I’ll be playing it as. Theres no point really lowering it as it’ll look horrible and it runs silky smooth as is, but I think I may post a few screenshots so its possible for people to compare and give them a bit of an idea what to expect. It stayed close to 60FPS all the time, couldnt really ask for more.
@ Lonely_Fenrir (yes I know) - Ok, I’ll try not to rag on your high score @ low res next time. Also, Alienware IS pretty awesome. You get a lot for your money with them. Plz don’t neg me again and call me a moron. My heart can’t take it!
hi,
since most probably i’m going to buy this pc:
Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 (2.00GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
HD 250GB - RAM 3GB - Display 15.4" CrystalBrite
Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/n - Windows Vista Home Premium
Webcam
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB ddr3
which is most of the same as yours,
can you do a benchmark at:
800x600,high chars,high backgrounds,no filtres or aa ?
i’d appreciate that!
According to this post by Sven, “Steam will use its own DRM, Impulse will use it’s GOO DRM. Direct2Drive, Metaboli, Gametap, GamersGate, Capcom’s Estore, Nvidia.com will all be using SecuROM’s network authentication.” That was posted on May 13.
OS: Windows Vista™ Home Premium
CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo
Memory: 3070MB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS
At default settings got 23 fps.
After some tweaking (models mid) I get steady 60 in battles at 1024x768, all the way to 74 at 800x600. Good enough for some portable street fighter 4 action.
The benchmark doesn’t detect it but my CPU is a X2 1.8Ghz
I ran the benchmark at the absolute lowest setting … including background
(it was just a wireframe cube… (rectangular prism if you want to be picky)
I really hope that option is actually In the game… Otherwise it’s not an accurate benchmark if you can turn the settings lower than the actual release, and I’d need to buy a new computer to play the game as well…
edit: while I still stay over 30 FPS if i turn on the background… It seems like my computer doesn’t want to Skip frames once it goes under 40 FPS and the actual animations slow down… I didn’t want to finish the benchmark at that craptacular speed…
