Hori PS3 arcade sticks uses HID class drivers and should run fine on Windows, Linux and Mac.
Official word from Microsoft is that Official Xbox 360 controllers should work find on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
But that statement covers the Microsoft brand Official Xbox 360 controllers.
Hori will only grantee their stick will work for the system the stick is designed for. So it is a Xbox 360 stick they only promise it work for the Xbox 360.
There should not be compatibility issues but I and getting reports lately that people are not getting their Xbox 360 Hori sticks working with Street Fighter IV on their PC, few even have issues with Mame as well.
I don’t know if these reports are a trend or if these guys are a “vocal minority”.
Microsoft will not care if your PS3 Hori Rap V3 Kai works on windows at all and tell you to refer to Hori, and Hori will state that there stick was intended for the PS3 and refer you to Microsoft.
Thank you very much Darksakul, I’ll get the PS3 one and pray to Deboooooooooooo that it all works out! I’d be very sad if I couldn’t play SF4 (just got it for myself 3 days ago) on a stick.
Well Keep in mind I don’t know how accurate all that is yet.
Worst case scenario, you might have to do a PCB replacement.
Most of my Sticks have Xbox 360 PCB that been put into dual-modded with another PCB, like a Cthulhu, Chimp or a Cerberus
I know for a fact the PCBs from the modding community are fully compatible with PC.
