Crysis Warhead runs like ass on my PC, just like the original did. It doesn’t feel any more optimized than Crysis, but for now I’ll chalk it up to my lame processor. I’ve got an X2 4200+, 4GB of RAM, 150GB Raptor, and an 8800GT running Vista 64 so I figured I could play mostly high settings at a reasonable resolution without AA, but nah. DX9 mode still runs kinda poorly. It’s time to go to Intel I suppose.
I’m not going to bother with Warhead, I don’t feel like playing something that’ll get boring as fuck after 10 minutes.
Mirrors Edge got pushed back to late 08, at least Deadspace is still on schedule. L4D better not get delayed.
Wow, the Mirror’s Edge site is pretty nice. This is probably the only game I have my eye on for PC, even though I’m not really watching out for new games on PC. I know there’s a few [thanks to the GAMING SCHEDULE* thread].

Warhead is awesome. The normal missions are like the normal missions in Crysis, but then there are the awesome, superb set pieces that blow anything the CoD series offered me out of the water. Too bad it’s so damned short.
I played in the beta for this, and I can let you know that it is AMAZING. Everything is a direct counter to some things but easily countered by others, so overall the game has a great feel of balance between units. This also helps to prevent unit spamming, because if they just spam one or two units they won’t be able to do shit against their counters.
However, it’s EA, which means that they’ll wait like 4 months to patch it if there are any lingering bugs or issues. 
I played in the Beta too…and it was real fun.

I think after the negative outburst about SecuROM (Spore, anyone?)…they made a deal.
I’m looking for a PC game I played in 97’ or 98’.
it was a type of side scroller and there were ladders you could run up and down, and you could set bombs that could destroy small pieces of the level, and blow up these small red monks that chased the character, you could also set various booby traps on the ladders to stop enemies, like one trap would catch the monk and they could go upside down and become immobilized waving their arms, and when other monks came close to it they could un-do the trap.
the entire level you were on was on the entire screen, and you started at the bottom and had to work to the top I think.

it was also 2 players, the character you used was a real small guy in a grey hazmat looking suit.
I think the developer might have been Valve or Sierra but I checked the products I could find by them and none matched.
Blank…DoW2 is up there as my most anticipated games of 2009 alongside SF4. It’s to the point that I play DoW games daily in anticipation for this.
Right now, I’m stuck at who I should pre-order from: Lamestop, or Amazon. So far…my gut is saying Amazon.
If there’s no other reason for me to get a job soon, aside from moving to another state…it’s DoW2 and SF4.
It’s by Sierra, a little gem called Lode Runner. They’ve got a freeware version of it out (Lode Runner Online) but it’s really a bitch to get working soemtimes cause it’s for old systems (like Win 95 and 98 I think).

Sign me up for the DoW2 hype, can’t wait to play that one. Probably my second most anticipated PC title for 09 right after Starcraft 2 (Diablo 3 is my overall top game but I doubt it is coming out this year).
