You won’t see any of that stuff on their site, maybe if you hunt around on the forums.
Borderlands for the PC , worth it ?
Dragon Age: Origins is coming soon, and I’ve reserved my copy. Until then, I have World of Warcraft and Mass Effect. I don’t think I’ll be needin’ much else.
$5 for Stalker is a good deal.
A great and completely overlooked game. The atmosphere is fantastic. But then again, I’m a chernobyl nerd.
Between Left for Dead 2 and Dragon Age…my time will be very, very limited. Oh and then there’s that whole (non PC) Tekken 6…FUUUU!
Lol mirc! I think I have to play SAMP now
I started playing Titan Quest after buying it and not playing it for months. I have both the original and the expansion, but I’m playing the original right now. It’s been a while since I played a good dungeon crawler.
yeah if you got friends to play with or realllly like fps.
lol, i still didn’t beat stalker from teh first $5 sale. Feels unpolished despite all the mods i put into it.
Theres a fallout 3 makeover that was just released a few days ago. FOOK2. Installed but didn’t check it out yet as I’m having fun with boderlands.
And I heard tf2 was $2.50 for a few hours. wtf? I would’ve gotten all my friends to buy it.
Borderlands and Torchlight are both fucking crack.
ahh titan quest. i’m pretty sure you’ve heard the buzz but i’m gonna have to co-sign on Torchlight being the top tier dungeon crawler atm, definitely want to check it out
the problem is , i’m going to get pirated 1 … so do i need to create a live account ? and i need to save that account into a flash disk because i can’t save it into that computer because i’m not allowed to . well , is in a cybercafe anyway .
EDIT : gonna get torchlight ? is that through download ???
Torchlight is 20 bucks… Is it just Diablo 2.5 with Disney animation? I’m considering buying it cuz I don’t feel like buying L4D2… I mean, I’m kinda tired of L4D mechanics…
^_-;
The demo reminds me more of Diablo 1 than 2, if only because I actually like it somewhat. Preferring D1 over D2 makes me somewhat of a weirdo, though, and I was never a huge fan of Diablo-likes.
I say go try the demo, characters and everything transfer over to the full version if you decide to get it.
Downloading the Torchlight demo.
I really shouldn’t have bought it, but $9.99 is too good.
Steam wins again.
Wow fuck, I didn’t think Shattered Horizon was out already.
I also need Metro 2033.
Anyone else get MW2 on PC? Most of my friends got it on 360 so I’m looking for people to play with on PC, Steam ID is BNR32_SRK.
Hey could someone do me a favor and help me pick out parts for a PC? Anyone who is currently up on gaming hardware, I’m looking to make a pretty badass rig. Don’t worry about the price on shit (too much, I ain’t spending $999.99 on a top of the line i7) and just generally tell me what you think is up right now. I’d really appreciate it.
Specific recommendations I’d like are on motherboards, RAM, & PSUs. I wouldn’t mind general advice either, though. Oh, and for mobos, I was PLANNING on going ATI & AMD, but if you feel strongly otherwise feel free to let loose.
Edit: Also, I’ll be using Windows 7.
There’s some really good motherboards on Newegg. Just go to the motherboard section, click on the CPU type, and then filter by ratings. Gigabyte makes a good mobo, EVGA and ASUS do as well. On Newegg when you look at a motherboard, just click at the specifications tab to see what kind of socket type it is and what RAM it supports.
If it were me I would just build a kick ass i7 920 rig with whatever nvidia 200GTX-series card you can afford. If you decide to go i7, you will need a Socket LGA-1366 motherboard and either DDR3 1333 or DDR3 1600 RAM, depending on what the mobo supports. Then just drop in the largest SATA 3.0 hard drive you can afford, at least 4GB of RAM, and at LEAST a 650watt PSU. Newegg also will tell you for a lot of video cards what PSU wattage is recommended for that card (again, in the specifications tab). Even if you don’t buy your parts from Newegg, it is still a great reference to see what you need and what works together.
Obviously there will be other odds and ends you will need to buy probably, depending on what you have already. If I forgot something maybe someone else might want to chime in.
