PC Flight stick recommendations

I am in need of a good flight joystick for PC. I need something that is of decent quality, will not move around a lot (like a good arcade stick, it must not be lightweight plasticy crap for desk play), and has throttle (built in or separate). I will be playing combat games like Freespace, Descent, and Secret Weapons Over Normandy, and the XWing/Tie Fighter series. I have been looking at the Saitek Aviator but it seems like it would move around way too much.

Since I didn’t see any recommendations and I’m a huge DieHard PC gamer, I’ll step in.

Depending on your price range, there are some sticks, ranging from decent to the best.

  1. Saitek Cyborg Evo Force PC Flight Stick - decent
  2. Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick - nice (good starter stick)
  3. Logitech Attack 3 Joystick - Bleh. Did not like this at all, but ymmv
  4. Saitek PS22 Foldable PC Flight Stick - Never used it
  5. CH Products - Eclipse Yoke - Great
  6. CH Fighterstick USB - Great (pricey)
  7. Saitek - X52 Flight Control System - MUST HAVE!!!
  8. Saitek - X52 Pro Flight System - Revision to the X52 Flight Control System, and better in everyway. This is perhaps the Pinnacle of flight sticks (under 200 bucks).

I looked at the CH systems stuff but I read that all their stuff has really light resistances I wonder how they would feel when broken in.

I was looking at the X52 Pro but I am worried that my hand won’t fit in the joystick due to the plastic enclosure thing.

If you have a Bestbuy near you, go check out the PC section. I know the ones are me have that on display, however ymmv.

Is the Saitek Cyborg X any good?

Its a great started stick and will tide you over beyond the $50-100.00 range. Its solid, nice feel to it and its sturdy.

Will it move around? I tried an X360 Saitek Aviator and the thing is lightweight and the throttles are horrible placed.

The Saitek stuff all around, is good.

Not cuz I work for Saitek or anything… but yea.
