PC Fireball Glitch: HP instead of LP fireball

Been playing SF4 on PC for about 2 years now and lately have been getting absolutely ATTROCIOUS frame skipping and input errors. I thought it was my internet connection for the longest time, since I tend to play online but have been experimenting offline and noticing the same issues. In training mode, I’ll be practicing infinite C.MP, Cr.HP, Fireball FADC loops and every 4-5 times I do it, HP fireball will come out instead of LP fireball. This happens in matches all the time too, especially when I FADC after the fireball.

I’ve already figured that the issue is with my graphics card dropping frames/overheating and I have tried to optimize it as best I can. Just wanted to poll you guys and see if anyone has encountered this same issue so I know I’m not going crazy.

Sounds like negative edge from the cr.hp. Try letting go of your hp sooner.

That’s all you my friend, you’re doing the fireball motion with the hp pressed, try to do cr. Hp into lp. Hado and you’ll see a difference…

I play on PC too and Dek and Martinez are absolutely right.
It’s not a bug, I used to have the same problem.
These days I sort of plink (don’t know if its a proper plink) hp with lp.
By letting go of lp after hp you never get hp fireball.

Could very well be me. I will keep practicing to see if I can be more consistent. It just feels like I got this links down a while ago, then suddenly I start having issues. Could just be lazy fingers. Thanks for the help guys.

It’s actually proabably a side effect of getting too fast with the input. If you’ve never had it before and now suddenly, just need to get back too spacing it right, doesn’t need to be done fast at all :slight_smile:
