All this can be solved by not watching tv
Young Justice had a large female fanbase because it was a good show that garners the attention of everyone across the board that enjoys animation and good story telling. Just like how me and my girl BOTH love to watch and laugh at Archer. If they were having a hard time selling some shitty product they should have switched to another product to sell to time into the show that has such a devoted fanbase, that would be an actual good marketing decision. Not like it matters anyway, all that shit they make is cheap over priced shit consumers will gulp down anyway and they should know girls love to buy crap if it’s cute enough.
They could have had their own My little pony thing going on but with chicks instead.
Oh shit son goku are those some Dragon ball hoodies?
Those Blue Beatle and Superman Hoodies would’ve so gotten bought. Badass designs
Yea. I would have bought that Superboy hoodie day one.
Gonna bookmark that shit. I know a guy that does custom designs, might buy a blank hoodie and commission him to do a replica of the Superman one. I MUST have it
Why the fuck isnt DC hiring this guy to make hoodies? The DC hoodies are all awesome same with that Vegeta shirt and Skull suit Raiden suit.
That’s not jewlery for men, that’s jewlery which can be exchanged for blowjobs.
DC’s with Viacom which is also behind CN. They’re never going to let a DC animated show go anywhere BUT CN which is of course extremely ironic as the CN doesn’t want them unless they’re comedy.
I read that article a couple hours ago. I’m currently out of tables to flip.
CN execs were D students.
its funny how this dude doesnt realize he could easily make those hoodies and sell them at anime cons. the amount of copywritten stuff sold there is hilarious.
Well, hopefully he’d last long enough to sell me a Nightwing hoodie.
Man I haven’t wore a hoodie since that one that came with Tekken 6, but I would buy the shit out of some of those.
And everyone needs a BAD MAN shirt in their life.
If you’re a grown man wearing those hoodies I kinda feel bad for you.
I mean, a t-shirt is one thing. A hoodie looking like that characters armor is a new level or dorkitude.
I mentioned this in the Young Justice thread, but I doubt it’s as easy to “just make hoodies and stuff” as everyone thinks it is. They’ve likely already got the deals to seel x amount of toys, with Mattel to make toys well in advance. I don’t think they can just stop their production machine in halfway through and switch their primary product to hoodies and clothing. They’d be left with warehouses full of toys while they’re spending money to produce totally new products. Who’d want to explain that to the shareholders? At least now, when they have a warehouse full of toys they can blame it on those darn cartoon writers that didn’t write to appeal to the demographic we told them to.
Oh. Well, If it’s any consolation We all got to know that Superman is a scumbag father.

There’s a lot of YJ themed hoodies on Deviant Art that look great but of course they had no way of manufacturing them. CN could have financed them and raked in the profits while doing none of the work.
like this for example
Holy fuck, that Suberboy and Blue Beetle hoodies look dope, i would have thrown money at them no questions

But I have to ask… when did they actually try selling any toys to begin with?
While Young Justice was still on-air, when did they actually start advertising toys based on the show? I don’t remember any battle-armor Robin or glow-in-the-dark/see-through Miss Martian being displayed in any commercials.
Those execs may have had some plans to do toys for the series, but they didn’t go that far in attempting to sell YJ toys from the beginning. Too much contradictions and miscommunication going on if that’s case…
Edit: Love the hoodies! Hell, I’d love an Under Amour shirt with Superboy’s shirt as an artistic inspiration. I would workout and slim/tone-up just to look right in the damn thing lol.
