Pasta Stadium Leagues: Skullgirls League?

Hello Everyone!

My name is Erik Capps, but you can call me Ayla’s Hero.

I am the commissioner of the Pasta Stadium Leagues, a site that was created to have a league for online play of the game PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale.

And now that you are probably saying to yourself, “What are you doing here? This is for Skullgirls!” I’ll explain myself.

I know that there are people out there who are looking for support for this game, and possibly some good competition. I want to help with that.

I made my league for PSASBR when there was nothing of it’s kind really out there so that people would have a place to congregate, play the game, and get into some serious competitive play. I’ve watched a lot of gameplay from Skullgirls, and even got my hands on it to play a little bit, and I really feel like I want to help get this game to a serious competitive level, and show the creators that there is a strong league of players so they give the game some serious support!

But I am not an expert on this game, the people who post here are. I can provide a section on my website for this game and organize a league around it, but I need help with things I don’t have enough knowledge to decide about.

[]I would need help deciding an official rule set. It might be easy and obvious to decide on this, but I want people experience with the game to help with this.
[
]Playstation? Xbox? Both? I could make leagues for both, but there is one a HUGE majority of people use, I’d like to focus there
[]One character or tag teams with two or three characters? Or maybe competitive play for all?
[
]You. I need people who would actively play. I might even be able to provide things like prizes and such, but I can only do that if we get lots of people playing. Let’s try to get things exciting!
[/LIST]

So, I want to see if there is some serious interest in this. Post here with ideas for rules, tag teams or no etc. here and show me we could get some people playing! The PSASBR league has 96 players, let’s see if Skullgirls could make some seriously bigger numbers and make an amazing league!

Not to advertise, but if you’d like to see how we’ve started with PSASBR (and we’re always working to improve) check out www.pastastadiumleagues.com

Thank you so much for reading this, I hope I can help the Skullgirls community thrive!

  1. Best of 3.
  2. Playstation. Xbox players don’t have access to the latest version.
  3. Any size team. The game already takes care of balancing out team sizes, don’t need the players to do anything else.
  4. Good luck with that.

For the record, Lab Zero gives this game hella support. They just keep getting the dick, over and over…and over again.

Oh i know the game gets support, but an organized playing group generally helps the game get better in terms of competitive play as well. It doesn’t hurt to have a big easy to find group of people playing the game either so others will try the game!

Would this be online? If so, it might have to be limited region-wise since australia<->usa is pretty unplayable. Otherwise some sort of rule to deal with bad connections.

PS3 already has a weekly online tournament, so it’s not far-fetched to think that a league might work, and any new players that try the game is a boon.

Also, best of 3 is tournament standard, but I think first to 5 is more telling when time permits.

I’m down, I always wanted to do this, but laziness and life stopped me from taking it far.

It would probably have to be online, so we would have to figure something out region wise.

I’m glad some people are interested!

I’d like to try get in on this action. Timezones are against me, but I’d still like to see this active

First to 3 for standard matches, first to 5 for anything special like finals and such?

I think best of three for standard, best of five for finals sounds pretty good!

It would be amazing to get hundreds of people, but I could run this pretty well with a handful of dedicated people, 16-24 or so would be nice at a minimum.
