Past Console History?

Consoles inherited from my older brother or bought by my parents:
-NES
-SNES
-N64
-PS1
-Dreamcast
-GBC
-GBA
-PS2

Consoles I’ve purchased myself
-PS3
-DS Lite
-PS Vita

Do those handheld Tiger Electronic games count lol? Never had one but I knew a couple of kids with the Street Fighter one, bastards never had any batteries in them :’(

Lessee…

My first video game experience was some thing dad got at Radio Shack that you’d connect to a tv and had various versions of Pong and a light gun with it. It was fun.

NES
OG GameBoy
SNES
Genesis
PC
N64
PS1
PS2
DS Lite
PSP
PS3

Agreed. It’s not a popular opinion, but the Castlevania games on the N64 are still among my favorites in the series and I think the best example of 3D Castlevania done well. Sure they have a few awkward things about them, but they’re still great games. 110% agree as far as the wrestling games go too. WCW/NWO Revenge was badass and me and my bro had a blast with the CAW mode in WarZone.

Ouya.

In chronological order of when I got them…

SNES
N64
PS1
Dreamcast
PS2
PS3
Genesis (model 3)
Xbox original (only because I found it for free in a box in a scrap pile, lol)
NES

I also wound up with an Atari 2600 at some point I forgot. And I had an original Gameboy shortly after I got my SNES, got GBA when the second print of them was out, and have a DS Lite, 3DS, PSP, and PSVita in I think that order.

Never got a 360 because it never appealed to me, and have no intention of getting an XBone.

Here’s when I went insane
J-ps3,j-ps1,J-dreamcast,U.S Dreamcast,J-snes,mini Snes,mvs,cps2,cps3,sega naomi.
Wiiu*
Ps4

Not including all the gameboy,psp,psv,n3ds and all the broken and duplicates I have from various systems. The NES and n64 are systems I don’t currently own, all my old Nintendo systems were lost or stolen many years ago,the wiiu I sold it to my cousin and just recently repurchased an snes.

I also played the atari, sega Genesis, sega Saturn back in the day from friends who had them.

Mario 64 and 1080 (maybe) are the only Nintendo games on the N64 that hold up to this day.

Many people will overlook some of the under-rated games on N64

Yoshis island
turok 2
Vigilante 8
Vigilante 8 part 2
Mischief Makers
Jet Force Gemini
conker’s bad fur day
sin and punishment
blast corps

then everyone remembers
mario64
kirby64
starfox64
smash bros
mario kart64
golden eye
banjo kazooie
donkey kong 64
diddy kong racing
F-Zero X
both zelda games
paper mario

I still think N64 was is better then gamecube

We had Atari but I don’t remember so we’ll start with Nintendo. Super Nintendo. Sega Genesis. Scammed a Nintendo 64. Sold Sega and Super for money to get Gamecube. Got a Playstation 2 hella late. Then Wii. PS3. And an Ouya I’ve turned on once.

Hand helds: Original Gameboy. DSi. PSP.

Well, since so many others decided to list theirs:

-Gameboy
-Game Gear
-Virtual Boy
-Gameboy Advance SP
-3DSXL
-PS Vita
-JXD s7800b

Starfox 64, Paper Mario, RE2, Rogue Squadron, Shadows of the Empire, and Turok 2 still hold up well for 64. But in general the 64 feels more outdated to me than any console. Not even in a nostalgia kind of way.

Atari 2600

SNES is probably the best console I’ve owned, so many hours with so many great games, including SF2 (the main reason I went with the SNES and never considered a Genesis/Mega Drive).

Had a blast with my Saturn back then playing all those 2D fighting games, especially KOF’95 with friends

PS3 was probably the console that I’ve enjoyed the most, being a grown up with disposable income and having a wife that shares my love for videogames. So many hours spent playing SFIV and Rock Band on it

I was away from consoles and gaming in general between 1999 (when I sold my PS1 and Saturn) and 2008 (when I bought a PS2, so late in the cycle). I really got back into gaming in 2009 when I bought a PS3 because of Rock Band 2 and SFIV.

So, although I’ve been playing SF since 1991, I’m also a “09er”

Gameboy(phat)
Game Gear

Gameboy Advance

Perfect Dark and the Star Wars Episode 1 pod racing game were two games I played the hell out of for N64.
