I realize there’s an online matchmaking thread, but it seemed much more geared on finding people to fight in casuals rather than finding quality partners to pair up with online for ranked matches. I’d like to make a thread where the focus is on finding that special someone to crush no-talent scrubs with, and perhaps even take down a BP-behemoth or two.

To get started, here’s the info you should include:

PSN or X-Box Handle: Can’t pair up if we can’t find you online!
Voice Chat: Yes/No - Important for discussing strategy, tactics, and yelling SWITCH OUT OR YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE!
Preferred Role: Match starter or finisher (i.e. Point or Anchor, Pitcher or Catcher, Top or Bottom, Twink or Bear etc. etc.)
Region: For better overall connections.
**Availability: **Weekends? 4pm - 4:45 pm on the third Tuesday of every month?

**Age: **I don’t think most 30 year old SRKers want to be matched to a tween and have to hear the prepubescent squeals of a 12 year old. Then again… Viscant.
Rank: Ranging from D to "Too Many BP"
Preferred Team Dynamics: For example, if you’re looking for someone who wants to learn how to cross assault (QCB + MP MK) effectively that might be a good thing to note.
Your Quirks: For example, I like to MGB with Dudley and then medium punch uppercut (only meterless invincible version) into cross cancel to discourage people from attacking me after MGBs.

**Your Ideal Role Mate: **I like quiet walks on the beach… followed by intense tag team fights… followed by more walking on the beach…

**Availability: **Definitely weekends. Some random weekdays, but never on Tuesdays (master’s program).

I main Chunli and Dudley at the moment. However, I can competently (sort of) play Kazuya, Bryan, and Guile.

I actually don’t have a preference for specific characters to partner up with.

Preferred Team Dynamics: I just want to team up with someone who’s willing to adapt, plan, and talk strategy.

**Your Ideal Role Mate: **A competent player who has voice chat and is willing to form an actual game plan instead of randomly pushing buttons at regular intervals.

Preffered Role: I want to start off since my main character can build a ton of meter and i can raw launch cancel out of most of my strings

Characters I play and Characters I’m looking for: I main Hwoarang and i have a super agressive rushdown style, I want a partner that can apply pressure like me, but NEEDS meter since I gain a ton of it, (Jin, Lilli, Steve "cuz Steve/Hwoarang unblockables are fun, Bryan, Guy etc)

I want to thank everyone who responded. Juri Kills Friend seems pretty awesome too, but they’re on xbl and I’m PSN only. Hopefully some more people post up so we can start more SRK duos.

Your Quirks: Pressure people on wake-up and going for boost-combo’s/launchers after a hitconfirm. I still believe that tagging out is better than most single-character combo’s (not counting 500+ damaging ofcourse)

Characters you play and Characters you’re looking for: Xiaoyu and Lili. I’m looking for someone who doesn’t mind me using meter on Ex Sunflower Lance and other Ex moves. A character that doesn’t really need meter for much and has decent mixup game or footsies would be an idea match for me.

Preferred Team Dynamics: I like to end things quickly so if you can provide a way for me to get in, things will die fast. I’m not a fan of running away since my characters aren’t equipped for that.
Your Quirks: Oki, I love keeping my opponents locked down. I just hate when my opponents possess a DP because baiting them out can be a bit tricky when the opponent is just as experienced or more experienced than me.

Your Ideal Role Mate: Someone who has fun with the game and doesn’t get mad if we lose. I understand how it is to lose to a C rank and lose 100 points, been there before. No need to rage if things don’t go according to plan.

Might as well jump into this.

PSN: nathway
Voice Chat: Meh it doesn’t matter to me too much but I don’t have a mic so communication through that way could be tricky.
Preferred Role: Don’t mind. I haven’t really teamed up with a lot of people so I’m trying to find what role suits me best.
Region: UK (London)
Availability: Generally on Friday & Saturday Nights. I tend not to be online as much on PSN though but you can shoot me an invite via PM or something like that.
Characters you Play and Characters you’re looking for: Proud mainer of Akuma & Lili. Although I do have other pocket characters such as Heihachi, Bison and to some weird extent, Christie, I prefer to use these two over them. I really don’t mind who I pair up with as long as I get into a good fight. Although this may change depending on what happens.

Rank: C+ at 2900-3000BP (I like to go for ‘More Skilled’ as my search priority in Ranked)
Preferred Team Dynamics: Keeping momentum in a match is what I like to work with the most but I’m up for playing patient as well should we run into someone like Gief or Guile.
Your Quirks: I like to land Misogis and Demons with Akuma and get in people’s faces as much as possible with Lili (who kind of has a similar goal to playing Oni in SF4 only MUCH, MUCH WORSE! Not in a bad way though :slight_smile: )
I’m a big fan of the DP Switch cancel with Akuma (don’t expect me to do it much after version 2013 has dropped) as well as the art of switching off of air fireballs to keep momentum and I like to randomly overhead chop people from time to time. Hence I tend to like playing Akuma as a very risky point character. My Akuma is very footsie oriented as well as pretty defensive without meter, which leads me to zone quite a bit but I can keep out people intelligently, I can proudly say that I have even zoned out Jack-X on occasions with Akuma :D. That said I can play on the offense if need be.
On the other hand with Lili, i’m a big fan of sticking her in the anchor only slot. So if I play as her, I tend to like to have some meter to play with before tagging in. I also like to Alpha Counter with Lili quite a bit when things get rough. Although a ‘point based’ Lili doesn’t worry me too much as I need some experience in that slot with her.
Your Ideal Role Mate: Someone who enjoys the game even if we lose. Although everyone does get salty so I can understand if you need to vent your frustration at me should we lose. Also someone who doesn’t mind their matches being uploaded on You-tube for my on-going ‘Road To B Rank Series’ on my channel should we go into Ranked and/or possibly Endless if we run into someone who hates our guts even though we haven’t said anything to them.
It really doesn’t matter who you pick in my opinion as I need some experience playing in a team no-matter who I team up with. Yes Cole, Toro, Kuro, Megaman, Pac-Man that means I don’t mind you guys as well.
