Parrying

any ever fully parry a HP shoryuken excuted by ken from third strike if so tell me the timeing of it i did it a couple of times but i can’t get it mastered so if anyone sees this posts oh yeah tell me about a time when you had trouble parrying a charicter

It’s not hard. With practice you can do it. The only way to understand the timing is to continually practice it yourself. Here’s a hint…when you’re playing in an actual fight if you’re standing on the ground parrying his HP shoryuken you don’t have to try to parry the whole thing. Just parry the first hit and block the rest. The only time you should ever try to parry down the whole move is when blocking it will chip you to death or if you are in the air.

Also if you’re playing a home version and you ever want to see the timing on a move, go into parry training in the training section and try the move against the computer. The computer will parry it perfectly every time, and it’ll allow you to see how many parries a move takes, the timing, etc.

Yes, super arts can be parried.

Grammar > You.

Red Parrying is great if used effectively. However, it is rather difficult. Red parrying is done by blocking the first hit of a combo and then parrying the second hit. Essentially it is going straight from block to parry.

p.s. Use some periods or commas or something.

technique…go on youtube and type in “Daigo Evo 2k4”. You’ll understand what it means to parry a super art.

Parry timing is just something you’ll get down from playing a lot. The other day someone used Dudley and did a reset -> SAI in the corner and I parried my way to safety. Had I ever parried it before, no, have I tried, I don’t think so. When I first got the game I kept trying to parry Chun’s SAII to do the Daigo thing and I kept failing. The other day I would’ve been chipped to death so I had to try and I did it, despite not trying to parry it for at least 6 months (I haven’t been playing much). Eventually you just get a feel on it.

If you want to get good at it quickly, the only option is parry training and practice.
