@armi0024

Man those new Ball Tops and that anodized button plunger look awesome
You really know how to choose the Eye candy

@darksakul
Thanks!!! We found out about the anodized bat tops available elsewhere after we started this project. I don’t think they are going to do the same colors or the button caps. Our end goal is a line of anodized parts going well beyond what you see here :slight_smile:
It’s really tempting to do a kickstarter to see if we could get that going. We have the place all lined up that will do the parts, but the minimum orders are BIG, and searching for quarters between the couch cushions isn’t quite covering it anymore :slight_smile:

Wow! I placed an order Thursday afternoon, and it’s out for delivery today! For being in Florida, that’s pretty quick, I must say. :smiley: Thanks again for the awesome service and quick turnaround…

Looks like I’ll be snacking on Macadamia Kisses this afternoon! :wink:

Yeah, I just got an order in today that shipped the same time as an order from California, and the one from Hawaii got here faster. Keep up the great work!

Armi I just sent you a pm my spring was missing out of my order. I’m hoping you will get back to me soon because I would like to know how this is going to be fixed and if possibly I can add a black aluminum dust cover since they were out of stock when I ordered… But super fast delivery to Maine bud thanks

Got my actuator in the mail today!! Thanks. Going to order from you guys again!! :slight_smile:

Holy cow on those transparent meshballs!

nice new spin on the old balls…

(Heh… Balls.)

I gotta say they all look nice unlike the original, SOLID meshballs.
I wonder how they would scatter an LED light?

  • I didn’t see the new meshes until today… I’ve spent the last day-and-a-half rebuilding a PC after a major meltdown. I blame MS for producing one of the worst and most vulnerable pieces of OS software I’ve had the displeasure of working with!
    The same kind of thing happens on the Mac, I can fix the issue with one OS disc in less than an hour!
    I can’t do anything with the PC but rebuild the OS from scratch… and reload all the programs I’ve added since… and grind my teeth at the time it takes to get the machine back to where I want it!

Just got the GONBES CGA TO VGA HD ARCADE CONVERTER [GBS-8220] from you guys.
It works great in my SCART to HDTV setup.

I just wanted to mention that the anodized balltop, shaft cover, and washer are NOICE (got mine in purple)!!! Sadly, I didn’t get any Macadamia Kisses with my order (I guess my order was too small this time, haha!). Luckily, I saved a couple from my last order, so either way, I STILL ended up snacking on some Macadamia Kisses yesterday, ha! :stuck_out_tongue:

Argh, my email is spamming shoryuken again, I hate gmail!
I was wondering why it was so quiet for the last 2 days… and it wasn’t!

No kisses!!! I’ll talk to Susan, she’s been shorting me lately too :slight_smile:

Glad to hear the orders are going so quickly.

Call Susan on the at spring if you haven’t heard back yet. PM’s are not a good com tool, emails are much much better. Phone is good, but remember we are in Hawaii, time is 6 hours behind EST. So 8 am EST is 2am HST.

3 very important things…

  1. We will be releasing a custom set of ball tops next week… no one else has these :slight_smile:
    2) Once our Facebook page hits 250 likes we are dropping the price of Cherry micros for a week…
  2. I can’t remember what this was… you guys might just need to find me and ask what’s up at Evo…

Balltops and pads arrived just in time for the weekend. Mahalo!

  1. ~sighs~ my latest order came just shy of $81. I hope the new ball tops don’t tempt me in ordering again so soon…
  2. I recommend putting a link to your Facebook page somewhere towards the top of your website.

Thanks for the order! Which top of our website, we are going to have… oh wait, that revision isn’t up yet, I can’t wait to share the new website with everyone, it’s really coming along great!

Just thought I would share a few pics :slight_smile:

Do you guys have a price set for the transparent mesh balltops? Waiting for those to go up!

I have that Purple combo, and I have to say that it looks even BETTER in person! :smiley:

Hmmm…
If I wore fireproof gloves, could I Dremel/sand-barrel one of those aluminum shaft covers to fit an LS-32?

{My plan’s not perfect but I’m thinking handskin protection this time!}

[But wait, that’s nuts… Just wait for armi to announce -32/-Seimitsu compatible parts if the demand’s there!]

{But in the meantime, I might have to go ahead with my crazy plan…}

[For our Precious, Yes!]

The aluminum shaft cover is about 1 mm shorter than a Seimitsu shaft cover. What is it about the LS-32 shaft that it can’t accept JLF shafts?

The LS-32 shaft is physically thicker than the JLF shaft but it’s still a bit thinner than a JLF shaft WITH the shaft cover on. Cutting the shaft height down is easy but you can only fit a JLF shaft cover onto an LS-32 shaft AFTER thinning it out (from the inside out) by at least 50%.

Thinning out the plastic is what takes the longer time in the mod.

For plastic shafts, I use metal files to thin out the shaft. I use the Dremel cutting circle to wear down/melt to the right height requirement. I’ve never done this mod on metal shafts – plastic only, and, in that case, only the official Sanwa JLF-CD shaft kit.

Qanba and Mad Catz CD-Shaft kits should work with the mod, too, assuming they follow the specs of Sanwa’s JLF-CD kit… The Seimitsu shaft covers available for the LS-40/-56/-58 and the LS-33 kit won’t fit the LS-32… The LS-32 shaft is just too thick and the plastic on those other LS-series shaft covers would probably crack if you thinned the plastic out with the same mod I use for the JLF shaft cover.

I’ve never damaged a JLF shaft thinning it out, and they’ve all held up well on the 4 LS-32’s I modded this way, BUT I have accidently cut more than I needed to (over 3/16"; don’t quote me on that… I haven’t measured the cut plastic height in over 3 years)! I always use a Silver Sharpie to mark the plastic I have to wear off/melt on the JLF shaft cover.
