Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks, Buttons, Mods and more

thanks for the quick reply.

Hello…I was looking threw the website & saw your Blue bubble top, but they were sold out. Are you going to have them in stock anytime soon or are they discontinued?

How come I never see any non-transparent Seimitsu buttons any more?

A lot of people use the transparent buttons for artwork and LED mods…

These just seem to be the more popular and better-selling Seimitsu buttons.
What I like better about them is a) they’re usually cheaper than the Sanwa transparent buttons and definitely the silent button line; and b) if you really don’t like the original PS-14-D microswitches, it’s easy enough to install SW-68’s if you buy the original plug-in version of the Seimitsu skeleton buttons. SW-68 microswitches will not into the PS-14-KN buttons which are designed around the PS-14-G microswitch.

They’re just well-supported buttons. It took a while for more universal LED’s to come out that would install in Sanwa’s as well as Seimitsu transparent buttons… In the meantime, the bulk of LED’s already fit the PS-14-K and PS-14-KN Seimitsu buttons which most people knew were cheaper.

I really don’t care… I’ll probably buy transparent plug-ins from both Sanwa and Seimitsu. My bias would be towards the Seimitsu plug-in brand IF it’s good enough (comfortable to play with in stock condition; gets expensive quick to swap outmicroswitches) since it is significantly cheaper in bulk. I already know the art will look fine since I have artwork in two transparent, screw-on 24mm skeleton buttons.

I bought some iL buttons and a stick from you guys.
Just wanna say thanks!
You guys are real awesome for selling American parts.
Now, I just gotta wait for the right time to acquire a case for these babies!
Thanks again!

Bigkilla: Blue tops… probably not, we will look for a vendor again but that one is not interested in doing them again. They were amazing tops…

Darkasul: We have a stash of these that we are working to put up on the site… but if you want something, just ask! Susan orders customs all the time. We have stuff coming from two vendors this week so let us know asap.

Now for the good stuff!!! Guess what’s up in the shop…

Ok thanks…I’m always late to the party!! :frowning:

More new products within a day???
The JLF twist is here… 15.95 and you get.
1 base
1 short shaft with threaded rod
1 regular shaft with threaded rod
1 long shaft with threaded rod

We should have these up for sale with in a day or two, but this is the only short JLF shaft on the market!
The white tops show the three different lengths you can get with the Paradise Twist (1 base and three lengths are sold together), the orange top is a standard JLF shaft.

This shows what you get in a Twist kit

that is beautiful.
will shaft covers still work? looks like its the same thickness/diamete as the standard JLF shaft.

Ah, that twist is very nice work.

[Keep in mind that I do NOT own every model of Sanwa joystick so my observations could be wrong on the JLW…]

The JLF shaft cover would fit but keep in mind the difference in length… the shaft covers won’t cover the entire height of the stick on the twist shaft configurations that are longer than standard JLF shaft length… Besides, the point with the twist is to be able to carry your joystick in a small cramped case without worrying about the balltop being pressed down and potential damage occurring to the balltop and/or base of the JLF. You have to be able to access the twist connect to take it off and it’d be far more difficult if not impossible to disconnect the twist sections unless the designer took the JLF shaft cover into account. [I can’t say this with 100% confidence that this is the case; I don’t play with JLF’s anymore and have never owned a twist shaft… However, my observation is very likely the case unless, again, the designer took the shaft cover into account. There are JLF’s out there that don’t have shaft covers but most units sold today ship with shaft covers for anti-theft protection of the balltop handles.] Nobody says you can’t put the shaft on before playing but during transport it’ll be off as the twist shaft separated into two sections. The ā€œtopā€ twist section has the ball top handle which normally screws on and keeps the shaft cover from separating from the rest of the shaft (on the stock JLF shaft).

Different shafts, different joysticks, different lengths… different shaft coverage with a JLF shaft cover unless the other shafts have pre-cut covers for them – but they’d be by other manufacturer product or the older out-of-production Sanwa JLW joysticks which DON’T have shaft covers and are so different from the JLF that the existing JLF shaft cover wouldn’t fit them.

I’ve adapted JLF-CD shaft kits to fit LS-32’s; LS-32’s don’t have production shaft covers so you’re forced to adapt JLF shafts or create shaft covers from available tubing with the right width and I’ve never found appropriate tubing at an American hardware store or online to date. The LS-32 shafts are shorter than the JLF shaft which means that, in addition to thinning out the shaft cover to slip over the thicker LS-32 shaft, I have to cut down the JLF shaft cover to fit. Fortunately this particular JLF part exists in the first place because NONE of the production Seimitsu shaft covers for the other LS-joysticks are the right diameter to slide over the LS-32 shaft! The LS-32 shaft is thicker in diameter than the other in-production Seimitsu joysticks.

Wish I waited to order Sanwa Clear balltops instead of Bubbletops :frowning: . Oh well, order should be in today ;D

Depends on if you’re going to use one or the other for some specific purpose.

I hear the bubbletops scatter LED lights nicely when lit…

Never bought a clear top myself. I prefer the more ā€œenergeticā€ look of the bubbletops. Clear tops seem deader to me for some reason.
You’d don’t even need an LED nice as it is… If you play in better (not direct!) natural light, the bubbletops almost seem to glow. A couple of the colors like green really seem to come to life well then; green’s one of the deader colors in the shade.

I’d probably only get an absolutely clear/transparent balltop instead of a color. That’s for matching to white scheme joysticks and buttons.

Generally the same for solid balltops for me. Solids don’t seem as nice as meshballs or limited editions like the silver and gold balltops.
The mirror balltops, when they finally get released, are going to be very nice! For one planned joystick, it’ll be a toss-up whether I use the gold or a mirror metal-plated balltop on it.
Paradise Arcadeshop also has a few exclusive balltops I’d like to get, too – probably the only solid colors I’ll buy any time in the near future.
(Hint: All 3 balltops have the letter ā€œWā€ in common.)

One thing to note… because the Twist is modular… you can put a JLF shaft on an LS-32 base

finally arriving this weekend!!!
We will have the Sanwa Gold and Silver also!

I will keep that in mind. I am good for parts for now but its good to know you guys can do orders outside your usual product line.

We are horrible about getting things in and just not getting them up on the site. Right now we have about 30 different products that should be listed, but we haven’t had time to get them up there!

Looks like I’m going to place another order this weekend!

Question : Are we supposed to get a tracking number when our order ships? It’s been a few days and I’m starting to worry._.

Ah,

The Moo-Moo Balltop finally came in!

The Gold Balltop is VERY nice in person!
