PalMod Discussion Thread

Version 1.64 is out now.

  • Adds support for SNK vs Capcom Plus A, Samurai Shodown 5 Special, and the MAME rerips of Jojos, MVC2, and SFIII3
  • Tons of sprite and palette updates, primarily for SFIII, Jojos, KOF
  • Various quality of life / ease of use improvements

The new version is at PalMod: PALette MODification for fighting games as always.

Sorry it’s been a while since an "official’ release - the new beta has Gem Fighter, Red Earth, and Karnov’s Revenge support plus a lot of other stuff, but I’m working on finishing up one particular feature for this release since I promised an emulator maker I’d finish that particular feature for them.

OK, this is pretty much the “I just kept working and adding stuff” update. XD

Thanks to the team for new sprites, new offsets, and other excellent work.

Shout-outs to Andreas Naive who originally figured out CPS3 encryption, and to the MAME team who have provided a lot of reference data.

And fucking James Chen. I needed information on Vampire Hunter 2, and the only good data I found out was a long-deleted guide he made that I found via the Wayback Machine. We need more James Chens in the world.
