yeah basically there are no other locations than the pali mall, or ob. maybe theres a few other pool halls but thats the same shit. only other place i knew that had an mvc2 was wizard - some comic book store n that shit closed.
so hmm yeah i dunno…

Not the best of ideas, but I doubt X-Zone would charge anything more than their normal hourly fee to use a tv. All we’d need is a DC, and two sticks. With the number of people that usually show at these tourneys, I think it’d be small enough for X-Zone. If the event gets big enough, I bet Steven Park’ll let us do tourneys there regularly, too. He’s always looking for people to check out X-Zone, and a tourney like that might get more people to look inside. Alex, I used to work there, and I’m there every day, so if you want more info on this, I’ll ask him myself. Post and lemme know. Hell, even for casual play I’d bring my DC.

I may be heading up there on Monday when I go up to NY for a day when my parents are out at some convention. If I do go I’ll probably be there from opening (or like 2 3 hours afterwards) to the afternoon. So if you feel like whippin’ up on a scrub like me; feel free 
XZ would be cool…but last time i went there and asked them if we could hold a tournament, they didnt understand me…maybe it was just the fob girl that was workin there at the time…but i always thought XZ would have been the ideal place to hold it…
rico, if you can hook it up, it would be SO valuable…seeing as how theres only comp about twice a year down there…anything to keep the scene going during the downtime is beneficial…
btw, im coming back for the weekend of feb 7-9…maybe we could have a lil session…

Well I got back from NY, I headed up to Palisades for about 3 hours. I was really dissapointed on what happend to all of the machines though. MvC2’s P1 controller was shot and 2nd player was kinda iffy. CvS2 was in great shape though I got to play against some Asian guy for a little while; he whipped my ass as expected. 2nd Impact was good too but I couldn’t fireball with the second player pad for some reason.
Fun time though, I’ll have to come back soon.

Nah, I didn’t play against anyone on MvC2 because of the P1’s condition. I was playing my Mag Doom Sent team at the time. I doubt if you were there the mall was pretty empty that day.

hehe…pali actually had some comp when i was there last weekend…some middle aged black dude who called the mag infinite an ultra combo…and some 8 year old asian kid who dhc’d like crazy…funfun…at least this weekend was economical…haha…$1 lasted me the whole day in both mvc2 and cvs2…o well…
