Pad Hack VS Original Stick

Just a quick one. I am planning on pad hacking an Xbox One and PS4 remote to bring an old Hori UMVC3 fight stick into the new gen. Reason for this is that its cheaper to pick up two second hand controls than two new fight sticks.

Anyhow. The question is. Logically a pad back will be pretty responsive since the original controls are made by official manufacturers. But are they as responsive as a purpose built fight stick. Where the designers and manufacturers put effort into how responsive they are.

Electrically everything is still the same.

All a pad hack is at its core, replacing those switches/contacts (on the game pad PCB) with a different style of switch (your Arcade buttons and joystick).
