Where is the :mk:? Where is the :hk:? Where the hell is the :mp:???

Seriously, except for the :lp::mp::hp: and the :lk::mk::hk: button macro, you wont need the focus or throw macro buttons.

I say put the :lp::mp::hp: where it is, and put the :lk::mk::hk: on the other side. Remove the focus and throw buttons, replace them, or atleast put the :mp: button instead.

thanks for the tip! after 2 hours of messing around in training I have my pad at defualt guile needs all the buttons especially M punch and kick hehe

I didn’t even know people thought they needed to macro throw’s and Focus, can’t you just uses your thumb to hit both light and both mediums for each action respectively?

With a pad as small as that, there’s no reason to do all that mapping nor is there any reason why you shouldn’t be able to hit lp+lk at the same time or hit mp+mk at the same time. If you’re having a hard time hitting those buttons together then there’s a solution to the problem. It’s called cleaning up your execution through practice.

BINGO you hit the nail on the head! the reason I mapped things like throw is I had a hard time pulling them off after practice I can easily now

Bone, take it from me, a fellow guile player seeking to learn and get better:

Guile needs every single normal he has. While his heavy punches are the best in town, they remain, like other guile normal attacks, situational. Sure Cr.:hp: may have the best AA potential, but it is situational and for specific jump ins. The height, angle and the move executed during the jump in result in using different AA normal.

If a Gief jumps in, usually my AA options are Cr.:hp:, :hp: or :r: :hp:, but if it is the infamous Shoto jumping :hk: from a distance in which Cr.:hp: cant help, I will use neutral position :mk:.

The pad set up should include ALL the normals if you want to have a winning chance with Guile. His normals are extremely required. Learn to use the real input for throws or focus, and to help you better at executing, put the light buttons closer, and the medium buttons as well. As in :lp: should be above or below the :lk: in the pad set up.

Hope I helped :D.
