Take it up with me. And you had the option of taking that match. I gave you that option before i let MKMaster503 test any sticks. I remember clearly asking you if you wanted to take that match as a win or replay that game from scratch. IIRC, you were up 1 to 0 in a Best 2 out of 3 AND you took the 1st round of the second game with the momentum on your side.

and also, even you let him test the sticks, u should’ve stopped him after 10 minutes or so? there were also spectators waiting for the match and he was obviously stalling until who knows when
i’ll concede that i should have handled the situation better, but i do not believe the player in question was stalling. I should have only let him one less stick, but to call what he was doing stalling is not something i can agree with. Its one thing to criticize the decisions i made with the information i had available, but i felt that both players in question deserved no less than an equal chance to play a clean match to determine an indisputable winner and loser.

Convenient that the stick ‘malfunctioned’ when it did and every other stick was unsuitable for use causing a lengthy delay of over 10-15 minutes.
Whether it was stalling or not I could care less. I just wanted to knock one more person out of the tournament before I left. :- )
I want to make it clear that I don’t got beef with anyone over this.
I think you guys did a great job with the tournament and I am looking forward to attending again next year should you host another.

I just wanted to say I had a blast in Seattle this weekend. This was the first time I was ever out here and everything and everyone was great to me. I want to thank Zach most of all for being an awesome and gracious host and for generally being one of coolest beings on the planet regardless of circumstance. Anyone that can’t see that must have some kind of mental deficiency or something. I want your house when I grow up…with air conditioning, of course. I hope to see you in Vegas again in August - Japan can wait! :tup:
I also want to say thanks to everyone I’ve meet and played against this whole weekend. I didn’t get to play in the ST tournament like I wanted to but it’s all good since I played enough casual to get a good idea of the high level of skill that is Seattle ST. Julien and co., thanks a ton for bringing in the ST cab for casuals. I will be sure to return the favor at Evo.

Femto was seeded because of his Season 3 placement in VF tourneys at Preppys. So he got a bye for his first match, which placed him above you in the bracket.
Also: I’ve made a results thread over at VFDC, just for the VF brackets, if anyone’s interested.

To quote many people in the tournament: " I had the best stick in the building " So i find it hard to believe that my stick couldnt do a dive kick. I was outside and i come back in to find my stick upside down and open. being told there was something wrong with it. I close it up immediatly and start testing it out immediatly. There was not a damn thing wrong with my stick, it ended up being used by other people, they had no problem with it either. Nobody should be mad at Nate for his decesion making. He was doing what he was suppose to due as director of a tournament. I honestly can’t think of Val really doing those shinanigans but i dont see any other explanation either.
