They have matches at peoples places in Austin, its just not spoken about often since everybody likes going to UFO. I’m sure if you’d ask people would let you know.

Austin scene, I think, is primarily arcade however there’s Dr Gosukesi (Nam is his name I think) or whatever plays out there and mains Cammy and says there’s a few gatherings.
As for me…lately I’ve been using Akuma for the arcades and have done “ok” he has so many more options than Cammy that I forget to use them all…sometimes I even forget he has a fireball and the only time I use it is at the end of the cr.lk tatsu, dp, FADC, shaku.
My Cammy play has suffered because of it though, I may just devote the next 3 months purely to Akuma…esp after getting my ass handed to me hardcore by some of the vets.
Yo dodgers: If you’re in San Bernandino you can easily hop on the metrolink for about $15 round trip. Not cheap by any means, but probably the best way for you to get out here. If you were to do that, I wouldn’t mind picking you up and giving you a ride to meetups/tournies or whatever.
I didn’t realize there were so many socal cammy’s haha. I always thought Jchensor was from the bay area, what gives?! Do any of yall head out to tournaments or anything? There’s like 3 going on this weekend in socal…

I used to go to tourneys all the time, back in SHGL days. These days, I’m old and lazy. Hahaha. I can probably say I’m most likely the oldest person frequenting these Cammy boards. 
I know there are a few tourneys around this weekend… one in Arcadia, one at Cal State Northridge, I think… I noticed Dodgers is gonna try to make the Arcadia one, and it’s right next to a friend of mine who plays and he’s going. It’s also really close to where my brother lives so I can always stop by his place afterwards or something. So I may stop by the tourney and enter for fun. Not sure yet. Just that it requires me to wake up “early.” Early as in before noon. lol!

i wouldnt be able to play for tournies…i mean, a tourney is minimum 10$ with highest 20$, so 30-50$ is pretty pricey for a jobless guy like me.

I’m going to a local 3v3 tournament tonight. Its so weird, there’s no fireballers on my team! We’ve got an Abel, M. Bison, and myself.

I’ve been going there since 2005. Gonna graduate in a year. I tried playing the arcades they have there, but I’m not used to their bat sticks. Not to mention, I suck at mvcs2, sf3, and sfa3. There’s so many Cammy players on SoCal, we should meet. Although, I’m going to give SF4 a small break because I’ve been meaning to work on my Rachel for BB for the longest time. Everytime I try though, I end up popping in SF4 to work on Cammy

Me and my friend had a bit of a fight while playing SF4 today. It was sort of my fault though, i was being a little arrogant.
I told him i’m sorry and we shouldnt play the game anymore…somebody always gets upset when we fight (usually my friends when i try to help them…yeaaa)
I’m just too good (very average on srk lol) to play with my closest friends. I have this feeling of being alone now

Recursion - no worries, Stein messaged me right after so we played a bit as well. My Akuma is a HUGE work in progress, he’s so complicated compared to Cammy with so many tools that I sort of get confused sometimes. That combined with my poor execution makes me freak out a bit when playing. I haven’t touched Cammy since WCW and my execution has gone downhill causing me to yet again freak out and do some stupid stuff lol.
One thing I noticed by you and you caught me off guard a bit, was your random unsafe Cannon Spikes, not sure if you could read me like a book or not (because I kept getting hit by them thinking “no way is he gonna cannon spike right now on wakeup…doh…he did”). Also on your punishes, instead of just CS, FADC, CS you could add a cl.FP for more stun and damage.
Stein - good games man, your Cammy is more and more beastly everyday and execution crisssp. I love that cr.FP, cr.mk xx SA… especially the one to super that finished me off during one of those rounds. TK CS pressure is great, I kept guessing wrong and tried to tech after the second TK CS. Hahah it’s frustrating because you RANNNN over my Akuma who I’ve been focusing on in the last 3 weeks and then I go back to Cammy and did better than with Akuma, well later on… at first I was totally out of it…but then after about 3 matches started to get the feel of her again. I kept missing the crossover CS, to TK CS on wakeup lol… CS…then…“oh look im soaring over his head with a j.RH…yay…”
Not sure what to do at this point…my Akuma sucks and my Cammy is going down the drain as well… I feel as though I am regressing rather than progressing.
After watching the SF4 movie, it got me thinking - is Cammy one of the main characters in this game? It seems like she was in the movie.
