Man it was probably Lag…in the match up thread i posted some tips one of my close STHD friends is a 8k BP Balrog named shinwar…i really think dude is the top if not Top 5 balrog…he is mega tough. He trains me and those are the only ways i can pull a win. but most likely if tick throws are fuckin u over it was lag. specially if u mashed dp. Hella uphill battle its my worst matchup

yo all the frame business can be found in the srk wiki. CH normals/specials get additional frames to connect shit. i dont know the exact numbers but usually you get more frames for harder buttons ie a fierce gives more frame adv than a jab.

does anyone else feel liek they suffer thru this? when their shit dont’ work, keep doing it till it works and die for doing so?

Like when I start losing 12 am, and cant just stop playing, and I endUp losing 1000 BP.

Dudes, I need some help, I dont know what is wrong with my Cammy, but yesterday I almost quit SF IV… Is too much frustration.
On some matches my opponets dont seams to do too much, but they score the win.
I dont know why when I jump and do a cStrike, and on block the opponent grab me before I can grab him, or some times I hit the cStrike or the j.hk and then I go for a grab but end up missing the grab, whiffting the grab? and then the op grabs me.
Stuff like that is driving me crazy.
And of course special moves that others characters have, that are safe on block, but of course I dont have one, and of course crossUp game that others have, but I dont, and of course moves that hits me over the head that I dont have.

Sorry but im in FRUSTRATION MODE today.

Been playing champ mode for about 4 1/2 hours and got 870 BP

Its definitely better than Ranked. Im finding much better players and its helping me out a lot.

Which lead me to ask, how effective is s.mp as anti air? Does it work on character’s w/ less floaty jumps than Chun?

from what I can tell you aren’t safe jumping which leads you to a disadvantage.

Lol, I don’t know about better players. I turned it on and played a free championship match (not sure what all the variatons are) and proceeded to win the whole thing… and I got to upload a replay of me playing awful. Yes!. Too bad I have no idea how to find the replay.

EDIT: Yes, found it, and oh god was I bad.

i dont know if anyone else uses this trick, but when i hit a DP with cammy and then almost immediately jump forward, j.hk will hit at just about max range if they quick-getup. its hard to DP and if they ever do figure out how to DP it, next time just empty jump and they will go flying in the air like a schmuck and you get a fat combo. just thought i would throw that out there and see what u think.

i use this. i had a theory for this, but i really don’t know how effective it is.

after CS, i just jump and land (do nothing), if he doesn’t DP me…then the next time i land CS, i’ll do the hooligan tech trap.

again, no one has done it back to me, so i have no idea if regular jump is throwing them off from a hooligan (in the heat of battle).

I like it alot. Its fairly effective. You can also anti air with Close HP

Well alot of the time the better players are in the Championship final. Ive got the the bulk of my losses there.

I had one good match against a Gen in the Semi-finals. The championship final (final round thing?), I just played some laggy scrub Blanka that hit me with his Ultra 3 times and still lost.

I’ll have to play more Sunday. Unfortunately, I wont have more access to my Xbox until then.

Something marginally useful I found with Cammy:

You get two meterless Cannon Spikes on the opponent you catch them in midair while they’re jumping with there back to the corner.

Its like a 1 frame window for the second Spike so you might want to use the piano input

Deep anti-air LK Cannon Spike(To Cause a trade), Dash up, Cannon Spike(FADC to Ultra)
OR
Deep anti-air LK Cannon Spike, Super (or Ultra but you gotta wait a sec for them to come down)
This is kinda dangerous. You can really get messed up as the opponent can use differently timed jump-in attacks and stuff

Anti-air Close HP FADC forward for a free cross under mixup as the opponent lands.

Anti-air LK or MK Spiral Arrow (To Cause a trade), Ultra or Super(MK or HK ver)
Also dangerous. Spiral Arrow is a pretty slow move with no invincibility. So you may not be able to react to a jump-in as well you would want to. I only mentioned this one for meter conservation and the fact that you cant Cannon Spike into Ultra if you hit a limb sticking out without using a FADC forward into another forward dash, Cannon Spike into Ultra. Where as you can just Ultra or Super outright if you catch a limb sticking out on a jump-in.

I don’t know if someone found this out already but from IyKiske’s recent video, The Hooligan Tech Trap works after a forward throw. Just throw it immediately after the forward throw. Tried it doing from the back throw and it didn’t work.

It works because throws basically force you to stand up first just like the quick get-up. I’m just not sure if it will consistently work against an opponent that will be mashing dp. But if they do hesitate they’ll get caught anyway.

if you play against ABEL, hooligan tech traps rape him sooo hard.

Well now at least I know Cammy has 2 Hooligan Tech Traps. Now just got to practice my execution.
